The Beckhams home in on £10m house in Chelsea

With its basement spa and pool, home cinema and roof terrace, could this house in Chelsea be the £10 million home that lures David and Victoria Beckham to London?
The couple's spokesman confirmed today the couple were looking at buying a property in the capital.

Chelsea boy? Victoria is encouraging David Beckham to move home
“They have been looking at a possible investment in London,” said the spokesman. “They have been looking to buy in London for some time. If it's the right property they will buy but not to live in permanently.”
The house, off the King's Road, is well known to Victoria Beckham, who has expressed her fondness for it in the past. The house was previously rented by Damon Dash, a record producer.

The prospect of the Beckhams moving to west London will increase speculation that the former England captain could move to Chelsea football club in January in a loan deal similar to the one which took him from the LA Galaxy to AC Milan this year.
Beckham wants to play football at the highest level before the 2012 World Cup. New Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti was previously at AC Milan and instrumental in taking him there.

But a source close to the player insisted today no deal had been done with Chelsea and it was more likely Beckham would return to Milan if agreement could be reached again with his American club. The source added: “David and Victoria are very happy in the States and if David does come back in January it will be as part of a short-term move. After the World Cup, he will be back permanently in the US.”
The property, formerly a Huguenot chapel, is made up of two low-rise artist studio houses joined together.
The rear contains five bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms and the front houses the kitchen and dining areas with an artist's studio room upstairs leading onto a private terrace.
One neighbour said she hoped such a move would not destroy the street's tranquillity. Antonella Tononi, 38, said: “I'm very excited. But I do hope there won't be lots of screaming fans.”

I must say that i am surprised at the total lack of respect that is given to David, he was a fantastic player at United and Madrid and whilst the MLS move was a lucrative and possibly a bit of a surprise move, he believed that he could assist the promotion of football in the USA.
Does anyone remember the Greece game, short memories guys, he got us to the world cup on his own, i think a lot of people forget that.
He is still the best crosser in the game today and he still has his dead ball skills, david himself will agree hes never been the quickest, and may be a bit slower than he was but if you need a decent playmaker to get you out of the brown stuff then id pick becks every time. pound for pound he's in the best shape of his life. So he's got sent off, but he is passionate when he plays, he's not a vindictive player.
Why is it that the British have to criticise people that do well and that take opportunities, he is a decent bloke and family man that yes enjoys the attention but has had a lot of attention forced upon him. Every club that has had him has always made a profit, MADRID got there 25m back within months of signing him through his image and shirt rights, so wheres the problem....I am sure that whoever reads these selection of comments would do the same thing if we were all given the opportunity, i have several pro footballing friends and they would all love to be in his position. It would be great to see him back in england and good for the national side

Considering he can't even last a full game, Chelsea would be better off spending the money on someone else.
She's just a media vampire and David, is well past his prime and unfortunately hasn't got what it takes to be a manager or even a coach.

he's a prima donna and she's the don of preen, he was once a decent lad, but don't you just get sick of his stupid false expressions on all his ads, he is about as authentic as all those po faced rappers and Victoria i think the only person that loves herself more is cold faced Madonna, we do not want this money grabbing duo back, lets see good riddance keep on keeping on !

Nick Johnson in Australia has got it about right. The 12,000 mile gap between them and him.
If he is so keen, why not offer them the Great Barrier Reef to live on, we in England are sick of the sight of them, so give the beautiful wildlife a chance to compete, sent them twelve months sailing in a glass submarine.....please.

They may as well flaunt their wealth - it's all they've got left - Victoria has flopped in America and Galaxy fans can see Becks for what he is - self serving.
We don't want them here.

Hey Keith, for the first time I agree with you.
As a True Blue Chelsea fan for the past forty five years, I just can't see where we would play him.
Ten million for a part time substitute doesn't seem to me to be a good investment. Might sell a few thousand shirts I suppose, but do we need him for that?

Please God - No!!!!!!!!!!
I am at a loss to understand the obsession with keeping this has been at the top level of the game - fine if you want 50 yard cross field passes, or crosses thrown in from the half way line.
Please Chelsea - don't become just one more entry on the Brand Beckham CV.

Something quite obscene and vulgar about a pair of people that seem to constantly want to exhibit their wealth and spending power during a disastrous recession. I've noticed the figures and noughts always tend to get published.

No Adrian, London is not big enough for both of their egos, come to think of it the Northern hemisphere isn't big enough for both of their egos
- Jimbob, Kensington
Who is stupid enough to fork out money like that for a slow, ageing winger who is way past his sell-by date ?
- Keith Price, Luton England
I do not think London is big enough for both of them!
