Sienna Miller’s on prowl for a £2m pad in NY

Sienna Miller is looking to relocate to New York permanently and has instructed estate agents to find her a luxury Manhattan pad for as much as £2m. The GI Joe star is looking for a three-bedroom apartment in the trendy Gramercy area, and was spotted house-hunting in a decadent 17-storey tower block.

Flat plan: Sienna Miller with an estate agent leaflet this week

But sources close to the actress say she won't be able to move until she's sold her house in Paddington, which has been on the market for seven months. Our mole said: “Sienna is about to start a run in Broadway, which has given her the push she needed to move to New York permanently. She has many close friends there and spends a lot of time in the US, so it seemed like a natural progression.

“She will be keeping her cottage in the Cotswolds so will have a base in England whenever she wants to come back. But her house in Paddington is proving to be a slow mover — she recently slashed £300,000 off the asking price but it's attracting no buyers at £995,000.”

The actress, 27, is to star opposite actor Jonny Lee Miller in Patrick Marber's After Miss Julie. But she joked last week that her wages won't stretch to cover a house in New York. Roll on GI Joe 2.

Having lived there a while I can asure readers that 2 million will get you very little in the trendier parts of NYC. She might have to commute.
