Updated 09:59am on 12 Aug 2009GMTV's Jenni Falconer announced her engagement today, after being whisked away to New York for an "incredibly romantic" proposal.

Fiance James Midgley popped the question during the trip last weekend.
Presenter Falconer, 33, said: "It was incredibly romantic and was a gorgeous, warm evening; the lights of Manhattan shone in the distance and we had a band playing live music on a boat.
"I'd been laughing so much all evening, I was genuinely surprised by James's proposal.
"I did hope I'd be romanced, but never expected a gesture like this.
"In saying that, I was delighted to be asked - and of course my answer was a definite yes."
Last month, GMTV host Kate Garraway gave birth to a boy, named William Garraway Draper.
Garraway, 42, is married to Labour activist-turned-psychotherapist Derek Draper and the couple also have a three-year-old daughter, Darcey.
