Is this plot Michael Jackson's final resting place?

This unmarked grave is believed to be the final resting place of Michael Jackson. The star has been buried at the sprawling Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, beneath a mature pine tree and close to his grandmother, Martha Bridges, who died in 1990.

Unmarked grave: Jackson may be buried beneath this tree, but the exact location is secret

Staff at the Los Angeles cemetery have been told several possible locations to ensure the grave does not become a shrine for grieving fans, so the grave-digging may be a decoy.

The private funeral was in stark contrast to last month's star-studded televised memorial service watched by millions.

The sheer number of people who would want to visit the grave would unintentionally damage the area. They could still have a separate shrine somewhere. Its a private matter for the family where they bury the body he's their human brother as well as the celebrity icon.

Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer that has ever lived on this planet earth,he is an institution,a rare breed,a legend, the greatest phenomenon of all time.A man who devoted his time to the love of mankind through his music and numerous humanitarian works. Can't you understand? How would you want to enrode his history away by burrying him in an unmarked grave?

He deserves to be burried and remembered as a herro, forget the distractors who knew in their hearts that if MJ happens to come from their families, they would do everything possible to immortalise his name for ever.
WHAT HAS HE DONE TO DESERVE TO BE FORGOTTEN?This man still stand innocent on all charges against him and innocent he remains.THE JACKSON'S FAMILY BE PROUD OF WHO YOU HAVE AND SHOW IT TOO.

I think Neverland ranch is the best place for MJ.His fans all over the world would be happier and comfortable with that.

I find it very hard to understand how his avid fans can blank out his sordid life. How his children were brought up in isolation without a mother, because he didn"t want them to have one,he covered their heads every time they went out, they didn"t know any different.Of course not to mention that he was a drug addict big time etc etc.
I do not question his music or his on stage performances both were great.
One thing i find interesting is that the Jackson family are trying to organise concerts but they don"t seem to be having much luck getting any top stars to take part.
I have had my say, enjoy his music, play his cds and dvds but a pilgrimage, well its your hard earned cash.

He made history, died a millionaire regardless of what people say and now he is buried in an unmarked grave. His assets, death and name will continue to make millions for family he was estranged from. NOT RIGHT!!! NOT FAIR!!!. A legend like MJ should have a protected marked grave. If the family wants to invest in security for his grave they would but they are too busy cashing in on their brothers death.

I do not believe fans will vandalise MJs grave if anything they will pray for his sole. I believe this because fans cried when he died. They were all well behave during the public memorial.

I just wanted to say that Suzan and Christine have sent such lovely messages regarding this.

I am sure so many fans would like to pay their respects and as you put it so well, any fan of Michael is not going to desecrate where he is buried, but simply pay respects.

It would be so good to take some flowers and just be there peacefully. Michael loved his fans and we are not the ones that would harm him in any way.

Michael was indeed extraordinary and very caring and, indeed, a great humanitarian.
You only have to watch him closely on any of the videos where he receives Awards or makes speeches to see this, not to mention all the tireless charity work he did which the media never or rarely seem to mention.

I believe it would help all the fans who are hurting to both know where he is and visit if they can.

This is all so very sad and I hope things may change in the future.

Thank you both for such lovely messages. It is so comforting to know other people think as I have been thinking. In my opinion, he should have been treated respectfully while alive and certainly since his untimely death.

Michael belongs with the people as well as with his family and friends and I am sure he would like and want this. No one has touched the hearts of so many people as much as Michael and I am so very sorry and devastated that we have lost him. This world is a much emptier place since he left and he will be forever in our hearts and our thoughts.

I couldn't have said it better than Suzan in London did. Very well written and I completely agree. This is not what Michael would have wanted, to have his fans not know where he is so we can't visit him. He loved his fans more than anything in the world and he would want us to have access to him at least to some degree. You are right that Forest Lawn is just not good enough for Michael. Michael needs a shrine and NOT lonely, secret plot somewhere. Maybe if and when Neverland gets moved to Vegas, Michael will be moved there with it! That would be an awesome ending to Michael's story. He loved Vegas and he loved Neverland (before the raid that is) so it would only be fitting for him to be there until the end of time.

There have been many different reports about this, TMZ are claiming that Michael Jackson is not buried yet and the family have yet to make a statement. I find it insulting that anyone would think Michael's fans would dig him up or desecrate his grave (which has been mentioned elsewhere), the very idea is disgusting. Anyone with such an idea would be much likely to be haters or tabloid readers in my opinion.

Michael should be laid to rest at Neverland, an ordinary cemetary is not the right place in my humble opinion. Many millions of people the world over have been so affected by his death that they need a place to go to remember him. Neverland would be a perfect place. Michael was very happy there before the witch hunt and I think that it would be a chance to put right the wrongs that were done to him.

He was an extraordinary man, a great humanitarian and also someone pilloried and witch hunted by the media, his fans never once doubted him because they knew the truth all along. Even when he was found not guilty on all counts the press saw fit to keep bringing up the case ad infinitum. He loved his fans, he would want us to have a place where we could be near to him and pay our respects.

We are all hurting and all these rumours are not helping. We are ordinary people who 'got' his message - we are not criminals or wierdos. Elvis fans have a shrine - we need one. Forest Lawn is not good enough for our Michael.
