The couple appeared closer than ever during their romantic pit stop before Button gets back in the driving seat for the European Grand Prix in Valencia a week on Sunday.

After frolicking on jet skis in the Mediterranean, Brawn GP driver Button, 29, was given the tough job of rinsing the sea water off his 24-year-old girlfriend. He then wrapped her up in a black towel and tenderly kissed her cheek before fetching himself a beer.

Guests on the yacht were even treated to a jazz band hired from the exclusive Club 55 restaurant yesterday. It is unclear who owns the vessel, but Monaco-based Button would have no problems chipping in for the rental after reportedly offering to sell his Bugatti Veyron for £900,000.

Swarms of bikini-clad women have clustered around Button in France. One onlooker said: “Jenson was surrounded by female attention, but he didn't react.”
