Sir Anthony Hopkins bags a Punch on Woody Allen's set

Updated 09:03am on 14 Aug 2009

A Septuagenarian actor strolls along a London street with a leggy, mini-skirted blonde on his arm.

To sirs with love: Sir Anthony Hopkins and Lucy Punch filming the new movie by Woody Allen

But Sir Anthony Hopkins, 71, isn't having a late-life crisis. He's working on the new Woody Allen film, with Lucy Punch as his companion.

On set: Sir David Frost talks to Woody Allen

Two other showbusiness knights were on set yesterday — 74-year-old Sir Michael Parkinson and Sir David Frost, 70.

Familiar faces: Naomi Watts and Sir Michael Parkinson were also mingling with the fim crew

The cast for the film, which has a working title of Wasp 09, also includes Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Antonio Banderas, Pauline Collins and Freida Pinto.

Nicole Kidman was to appear but a scheduling conflict forced her to pull out and she was replaced by Punch, 31.

For Anon UK.
You cannot renounce your British citizenship. You always retain it like the ilk of Elizbeth Taylor and Bob Hope.
I am British and have lived in Brazil for 50 years. If there were certain extenuating circumstances to becoming Brazilian I would have no hesitation in applying for citizenship. Brazil, the UK and many others recognize dual citizenship.

anon - if the media followed your ethos, the newspapers would become extremely boring. Back to your Churchill memoirs, and AA roadmap, there's a good chap.

Why give this person space in print. He has renounced his citizenship of this country to become an american so chuck him out and write about people who are loyal to their country.
