Lily Allen's tears as she battles backache

Poor Lily Allen. The singer broke down in tears at a gig last night after having a pain-killing injection because of a nasty fall.

She even seemed to quote her latest album, It's Not Me It's You, when she reassured the crowd, telling them: “I feel a bit emotional tonight, and if I cry it's not because of you but because of me.”

The show must go on: Lily Allen in tears last night

And she was wearing the worst possible make-up to weep in.

Dabbing tears from her silver-encrusted peepers was a delicate task and she did well not to smear the stuff all over her face.

The 24-year-old was performing in Helsinki, Finland.

Watch the make-up: Lily dabs at her eyes

Earlier in the evening she Tweeted: “Fell over badly last night and I've really f**ked my back up. Just had an injection in my bum. How am I gonna get through tonight's gig?”

She hasn't had much luck with gigs recently. She had to pull out of the Benicassim festival in Spain last month after falling ill, and didn't turn up at French festival Les Vieilles Charrues after a mix-up with organisers.

Jack, you're forgetting two things. 1 she'd need to find some talent to act, and 2, Acting the fool won't cut it.

It was yje Mahler film not The Devils. Lily can't act, and she gives me ear-ache when she sings, never mind back-ache

In your first photo Lily bears extroadinary resemblance to the actress Georgina Hale. Georgina starred in the Ken Russell film The Devils and perhaps Lily would be well suited in a re-make.
