Hollywood funnyman Jack Black is at his best when he's on stage with a microphone.

Belting out the hits: Jack Black took the stage

So think of all the lucky people who saw him at the weekend, rocking his socks off while singing karaoke at the wrap party of his new movie.

The 39-year-old actor and occasional rock star (with his metal-loving duo Tenacious D) requested a karaoke machine at Jalouse nightclub in Mayfair for the bash, which marked the end of the London shoot for his new film Gulliver's Travels.

He belted out a typically OTT version of War Pigs by Black Sabbath, before being joined on stage by his wife Tanya Haden to sing Michael Jackson's Beat It.

Wrap party: The actor treated the crowd to some Black Sabbath

Our spy said: “The crowd loved it — they went absolutely crazy and he put on a real show, as you'd expect from Jack.

“Most people could have watched him all night, but he didn't hog the mic and graciously stepped aside for everyone else to have a go.”

Jack was slurping Blue Lagoon cocktails all night at the party, which was organised by Lucky Voice Pop Up Parties.
