Kerry Katona begs her ex: don’t take the kids

Kerry Katona has made tearful phone calls to ex-husband Brian McFadden pleading with him not to take their children away from her.

“Wit's end”: Katona fears Brian McFadden will win custody

The 28-year-old reality TV star fears she could lose custody of their daughters Molly, seven and Lilly-Sue, six, after she was caught on film last month snorting cocaine at home.

The girls were reportedly in the house at the time, and now former Westlife star Brian, 29, who was married to Katona for four years, is consulting his lawyers, claiming she is an unfit mother.

A source said: “Kerry is at her wit's end and has been calling Brian begging him not to take her kids away.

“She's been saying to him that she can't live without them, the kids are her whole life. Brian thinks her pleas are pathetic but really feels sorry for her. His main priority is the kids and he's had enough of Kerry's problems.”

McFadden, who lives in Australia with his singer fiancée Delta Goodrem, 24, is reportedly pushing for full custody of the girls after Delta said she is willing to raise them as her own.

The source added: “Brian knows it will destroy Kerry if she loses her kids, but feels she has left him no choice. Her hysterical calls won't change his mind.”

Since the footage of her alleged drug use, Katona has been dumped from her £250,000-a-year deal with food giant Iceland.

Yesterday, she apologised on Facebook, but blamed her antics on anti-depression.

This is a sad sad situation. She is not well enough to have the children but it would split the siblings He has not rush over to support the children and looks as if he has moved on and he leads a life where children would have trouble fitting in. These kids have been to a nasty place in childhood with what they have seen and heard and Mark Croft is a force in his own righ to have caused them no end of trauma They need a lot and will be a handful I thoguht McFaden's mother wanted to have them and she sounded as if she was willing to take it all on if left to given them the consisency, love and childhood that they require. This is not a snatch and grab situation but they need stability. They will grow to understand what happened and how and find a relationship with their parents but probablky not the Hello cover lifestyle that has been sold on and off. Sometimes you have to give up what you love because you love Corny cliched but TRUE Kerry in her drug/alcohol and crippling marriage NEEDS them but what they need from her just isn't there One can only hope that is temporary

Well, it certainly isn't unfair to say that if you have a drug and alcohol problem as well as not being able to manage your finances to the extent she has shown, you probably aren't that fit to be a parent. I don't think there's any justification for doing drugs if you're a mother. If her kids are her life, then surely she'd have cleaned herself up well before now.

"..blamed her antics on anti-depression" - this doesn't make any sense! Not that I care anyway...

I think's about time the 2 girls were allowed to live with their father on a full time basis

As i have said I feel sorry now for Kerry but she has to do what is best for her children - and hopefully she shall be able to take care of the 2 children she has had with Mark Croft
