Jade Goody's family fury at Jack Tweed over his rape charge
By Mark Blunden, London Lite Last updated at 13:55pm on 07.09.09The family of late Big Brother star Jade Goody say they are washing their hands of her widower Jack Tweed following his arrest over rape allegations.

On remand: Jack Tweed is in Pentonville prison
Tweed, 22, is on remand in Pentonville prison where he is being guarded to ensure he is not targeted by other inmates.
The club promoter was arrested on Friday morning over claims he was involved in the rape of a 19-year-old girl he had met at the Embassy nightclub in Mayfair hours earlier.
Today, Goody's grandfather John Craddock, 71, from Bermondsey, said: “It would've left Jade broken-hearted had she still been alive. I've
washed my hands of him. The family don't want anything to do with him.”
Jade's mother, Jackiey Budden, 51, is said to be “fuming” over her son-in-law's arrest and has demanded he return Jade's £300,000 wedding ring. The couple married weeks before Goody died of cervical cancer in March aged 27 and she gave him the ring on her deathbed as a keepsake.

A source close to the family said: “Jackiey feels it should be used to leave money for Jade's kids.” Tweed claims to have sought solace in alcohol following Goody's death.
The club promoter has held a string of wild parties at his rented home in Woodford Green, east London, prompting complaints by his neighbours to the council and police. The alleged rape was said to have happened during a party at the house.
Tweed was remanded in custody after appearing at Redbridge magistrates court on Saturday charged with rape. He will appear at Snaresbrook crown court on 21 September. Tweed's friends Ashley Rubin, 22, and Anthony Davis, 25, were also reportedly arrested and released on police bail.
