Katie Price: Marriage to Pete ended for stupid reason
Last updated at 07:45am on 15.09.09Glamour model Katie Price said her marriage to Peter Andre collapsed for the "most stupid reasons ever".
The star told Five's new current affairs series Live From Studio Five she could not go into detail about the reasons behind the split.
In her first interview since her marriage formally ended, she said: "Like I say, what happened between me and Pete happened between me and Pete.
"He dumped me, he didn't want to know. I'll move on.
"It's the most stupid reasons ever and I hope that when it goes to court and the reasons come out, people see."
She told presenters Ian Wright, Melinda Messenger and Kate Walsh she did not want to get married again but did want more children.
She laughed off stories she was depressed and said her children were coping well with the split.
She said: "They're absolutely fine because they've got love our side, love his side. They're fine."
The couple were granted a decree nisi on September 8.

Her "relationship" with her "riding instructor" ended her marriage. There was nothing to stop her hiring one of the very many gay or female dressage champions to tutor her if it was just the horses she was interested in, but she didn't choose to do that. It was also reported that, when drunk, she told named people that she was in love with someone other than her husband! She hasn't sued the newspaper that carried the story. Peter put up with loads, too much really, thank God he's well rid now.

From what I understand, the divorce went to cross-petitions which suggests that Andre petitioned for divorce and Price decided to cross petition because it was too much for her ego to be the one who dumped. So, instead, she decided to cross petition so that a judge could decide who had dumped whom. Totally pathetic of course, because it has no bearing on finances, and its all held behind closed doors so nobody apart from the parties, the judge and the solicitors will ever know.

Call me a cynic but I think this is all a publicity stunt. Once they have milked the 'break up' story for all it's worth, they will 'get back together' and milk the make up story as well.

What does it say about our society when we are bombarded with these details of K & P's sad and meaningless little lives. I can't believe people can buy her ridiculous books or watch her pathetic programmes. If this Barbie doll look-alike is a role model to some young people I fear for the future of our country.

Her marriage ended becase Pete found that she was coming on to her riding instructor and the man didn't even deny it. Pete was right. It is far fro a "stupid reason." Any man would respond in the same way. She's a spoily brae who didn'y get her own way. Get used to it.
