Katie Price: I'll never name celebrity rapist

Updated 14:46pm on 16 Sep 2009

Model Katie Price says she would "absolutely never" name the celebrity she claims raped her and has no plans to make an official report to police.

The glamour girl, better known as Jordan, also claimed she was "livid" the revelation had been "blown out of context".

She initially mentioned the rape in a national magazine column and in a subsequent interview with the publication yesterday she said it had been committed by a "famous celebrity".

But speaking to TV show The Wright Stuff on Five this morning, Price said she would "never, absolutely never" reveal the name of her attacker.

Price had first made the revelation in her OK! column after newspaper stories appeared about her boyfriend Alex Reid allegedly filming a rape scene for a forthcoming movie.

She said today: "I haven't just come out and said I was raped. I was sticking up for Alex. I basically said I would never go out with a rapist.

"I've been raped, someone close to Alex has been raped so that's how it's got all out of context.

"I think it is so out of order when people say I am trying to do it for sympathy. That is so wrong."

Price, who recently divorced singer Peter Andre, went on: "I'm absolutely livid - I mentioned it in my column and then I done a shoot with the kids last week and they just tried to press on and on about it and I said I'm not going to say who it is. And they just dig and dig and dig.

"It has been blown out of all context. I've woken up this morning and it's on the covers of all the newspapers and I'm like 'oh my God'.

"It's just like a can of worms they're opening."
Asked whether she planned to report the incident to police, she said: "It happened absolutely years ago and like anyone it's just a hard thing to do. It's been there and done now so what do you do.

"If something happens you should go to the police. Maybe I should have done.

"I went back and said to my friends 'this happened ...' it was definitely rape. I didn't consent to it. What do you do? It's a difficult situation. I just don't want to bring it all up and it has been brought up."

She said she realised there would be a guessing game, with internet rumours about the attacker's identity, but added: "I'm not here to say who it is."

Ironically, Price was speaking to the show's presenter Matthew Wright, who inadvertently named TV presenter John Leslie as the celebrity Ulrika Jonsson had been referring to when she claimed she had been raped.

Like Price she had made the claim but refused to publicly identify him.

Wright said today that people were quizzing him, because of his previous gaffe and reeling off a list of her previous lovers for confirmation.
Price said: "Really I haven't slept with that many people, let's be honest, it's just the papers make out I have and I haven't.

"And this happened years ago, way before Pete, and I don't have to lie about it.

"I'm shocked this has come out just because I was sticking up for Alex."

Price said an earlier rape had been chronicled in her autobiography and the incident with the 'celebrity' had not been as bad as the first.

Is she serious? She only 'mentioned it' in a national gossip magazine and can't understand why it's been blown up all over the tabloids? I am so bored of Katie Price! I wish she would just disappear!

Rape can never be 'Blown out of context'. Rape is rape, or it never happened and this is all about publicity. So either put up or shut up about it. You are not protecting other women from this person, if he really exists.

This story has the ring of one Max Clifford. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

She's blaming the media for blowing everything out off proportion when it was only herself who brought up the subject in the first place...one minute she is saying she is overjoyed at the end of her marriage then the more credible Peter Andre reveals she has been sending him texts asking him to give the marriage another go. She's caught in her own web of lies but sadly she isnt self-aware enough to realise it and will go on blaming everyone and anyone for the mess she gets herself into. Truly awful woman. Can she just go away-NOW!

Cannot believe this ' shy, introverted, quiet girl' did not go and complain to the Police when the SUPPOSED incident took place...........Hmmm, has she thought of writing fairy stories to add to her CV.

So, is she lying, mistaken, or what? I would guess that every man who has ever crossed her path is now taking steps to avoid her like the plague.

By not naming a rapist who else has he raped since? Its like seeing a house on fire and just walking by. How do her parents feel knowing she has been violated like this and doesn't have the self respect to bring him to justice or stop him hurting others.

She's an embodiment of utter idiocy. A deluded self-loving example of what not to be.

If I had to make choice between going blind, deaf and with no arms and legs or Jordan's imbecilic brain, I would chose the former happily.

Only sticking up for her porn star boyfriend, what next?
Jordan has no shame and likes a fight, she should bring the rapist to justice for the sake of other women. She might have one problem though as she has stated a few times that she likes parties, likes drink and when she is drunk she likes to take her clothes off,oh dear.I think she has now seriously started a "GUESS WHO" which might bring a lot of unfounded rumours and strart hurting people.
