Old Holly-wood glamour as we see Anna Friel with her clothes on

Anna Friel looked a real diamond at the afterparty of her West End play Breakfast At Tiffany's. She dazzled in an ivory vintage frock which had echoes of old-school Hollywood glamour.

Vintage style: Anna Friel leaving the theatre

The full-length satin gown comes after a week of knock-out dresses she has worn when leaving the new production at the Theatre Royal in Haymarket.

And it's easy to see why Anna might be keen to get dressed up after each performance — she is starkers in one scene. Our picture could well increase ticket sales among male theatre fans as it shows Anna's fun-loving character Holly Golightly laid bare.

The former Brookside star revealed she has started a tough new fitness routine for the role, made famous in the 1961 movie by Audrey Hepburn, and it looks to have paid off.

Breakfast at Tiffany's review

Speaking at the Haymarket Hotel last night, which was the venue of the play's press night afterparty, she told us she's been going to the gym five or six times a week.

Anna said: “The Forties age was not one of slouching and you have to learn all of that — the way to talk, the way you move. It feels special for me. I'm loving it.

“There's not that many brilliant roles for women so it's wonderful to have the opportunity to play Holly.

“She is a great female part.”
