Shy: Cheryl Cole doesn't want her family in the audience
Viewers will see the Girls Aloud singer performing her debut solo single Fight For This Love on the show this weekend.
But she said she would feel more scared if her bandmates went to support her.
Speaking to GMTV, Cole said: "The girls are itching to come down to support me when I perform but I kind of don't want them to - because it is more scary."
Asked if husband Ashley or her mother would be in the studio, Cole said: "If my family are sat in the crowd... it depends which members of my family are in the crowd - some of them make me feel like 'Yeah I'm ready', and some make me feel 'Oh God no - Dad's in the crowd' so no, no family or friends."
Cole said nerves were gripping the ITV1 programme.
She said: "There are just nerves in the building - the contestants are giving off nervous energy, their family and friends are giving off nervous energy, and on top of that I'm going to go out and sing, and on top of that Whitney Houston is going to also sing too!"

I remember when Girls Aloud sang live on the show, last year or the year before, Cheryl's voice live was **so** bad.
I think for sheer entertainment value she should sing live...I could do with a laugh!

Do I smell a "clean-up" in post production? As fake as her hair. As much right as Posh to judge others. A reflection of todays values that we hold such people in high esteem

Oh for goodness sake, will this woman not stop at anything trivial for publicity. All the other contestants, which she judges on a weekly basis perform in front of their family and friends, yet she is unable to! She isn't even singing live! Seriously, what rubbish.

Pathetic. It's not even live, so it can be taped again again and again until she makes one version even remotely resembling a performance !
