X Factor must go on without Louis Walsh
By London Lite Last updated at 13:39pm on 16.10.09X Factor producers are planning to go ahead with the live results show on Sunday in the absence of judge Louis Walsh.
Absent: Louis Walsh will miss the show
Walsh has confirmed he will miss both programmes this weekend as he will be attending the funeral of Boyzone star Stephen Gately.
Talkback Thames, which produces the talent show, said that Walsh had been in close contact with both his acts — Miss Frank and John & Edward — throughout the past week but “his opinions will not be represented in the show this weekend”.
Producers were still discussing what would happen if both Walsh's acts faced the sing-off on Sunday night.
The spokesperson added: “They are going to see how it plays out” and admitted that “they have yet to announce a contingency plan.”
