The first five acts to perform on the unprecedented second day of Capital radio's Jingle Bell Ball were unveiled today.

They are Janet Jackson, Shakira, Dizzee Rascal, Ne-Yo and JLS.

Tickets for the event sold out within an hour of going on sale at 8.20am today.

It was an echo of what happened earlier this month — when 95.8 Capital FM announced artists for the first night, on 5 December at The O2 Arena, 20,000 tickets sold out within an hour.

Because of the overwhelming demand for tickets the station, for the first time in its history, announced a second night for the children's charity concert.

The five acts were revealed today by breakfast duo Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon, who confirmed the second gig would be on 6 December, also at The O2.

The Jingle Bell Ball with Windows 7, hosted by Johnny and Lisa, plus the Big Top 40's Rich and Kat, will be London's biggest indoor music event of the year.

The first night line-up includes Lady GaGa, JLS and Lily Allen.

Fans need not despair — as the exclusive media partner of the Jingle Bell Ball, the Lite will be giving away tickets in competitions in the coming weeks.
