Katie Price up for Mum of the Year

Katie Price has been shortlisted for Celebrity Mum of the Year, despite her very public marriage break-up.
The controversial glamour model was nominated by the public alongside 19 other celebrity mums for this year's Bounty Celebrity Mum of the Year.
It has been a turbulent year for Price - she split from pop star Peter Andre, her husband of three-and-a-half years.
She also ran a marathon, published a best-selling novel, was dropped by her management company of five years and caused offence with insensitive comments about her breast surgery scars.
Price is up against Samantha Cameron who had to deal with the tragic death of her son Ivan earlier this year.
Mrs Cameron, who supported husband David at the recent Conservative party conference in Manchester, also has to look after her two young children.
Other nominees include three former Spice Girls Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell.
However, there is no room this year for Victoria Beckham who might have slipped off the nation's radar since her move to Los Angeles.
Last year's winner Suzanne Shaw joins Myleene Klass, Tess Daly, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Charlotte Church on the shortlist.
Kerry Katona - who was dropped by supermarket Iceland after she was exposed taking drugs by the News of World - failed to make this year's shortlist.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony on November 4.
* The public are invited to vote for their winner from the shortlist at www.bounty.com/celebmum. The poll closes at midnight on November 1.

It goes to show just how shallow and utterly pointless many of those who consider themselves 'celebrities' really are! There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of women in this country, many of them a damned sight better looking than Katie Price, who are loyal to their men and astonishingly good parents who don't need an ever-present camera crew to boost their over-inflated egos (and breasts!). Stand up and take a bow the lot of you. A thousand Katie Price's wouldn't be worth one of these ladies.

My God what a joke. If mums are expected to spend fortunes trying to enhance the size of their bust, act like a total slapper, look like a zombie, then fine but how can anyone in their right mind even think about this publicity seeking shallow tart being mum of the year?

Funny, as I remember Kerry Katona winning this award on a few occassions!

Slag off your ex-husband in every rag in the land, parade your kids on TV, shack up with a cross-dresser - a paragon of good parenting - apparently!

Celebrity Mum of the Year - what a joke! All of them have nannies and minders to do the real parenting for them, they only wheel the kids out when a photo opportunity comes knocking.
