Jarvis Cocker to play live for yoga classes

Jarvis Cocker is to play live accompaniment to yoga and aerobics classes as part of a five-day art "happening" in London, it was announced today.

The former Pulp star will also jam with members of the public who turn up with instruments and improvise to suggestions from visitors at the event next month.

Cocker, accompanied by his regular band, will perform at the Village Underground venue in east London from November 7 to 11.

In addition, guest musicians will be turning up throughout the run, which is expected to see Cocker performing around seven hours a day.

Cocker has already undertaken one such stunt in Paris at the Galerie Chappe.
