Tracey Emin praises Dominic Cooper's new film

Updated 10:33am on 21 Oct 2009

Tracey Emin was full of praise last night for the movie adaptation of her old pal Lynn Barber's memoir An Education. “Myself and Lynn have been good friends for ten years now so I loved making comparisons between the book, the film and the real story I know through her,” said Tracey at the film's premiere after party at the Sanderson Hotel last night.

The movie is adapted by Nick Hornby, and stars Dominic Cooper and Emma Thompson.

“If I'm honest,” she continued “I find the whole story totally inspiring. F*** the men and lets get an education. It's a feminist triumph.”

Barber made one confession as to her success as a hack: “I have to lie all the time when it comes to interviewing people. If I find the interviewee's film or songs awful I tell them I love it regardless. A classic example would be when I had to interview Robert Redford at the release of the Horse Whisperer. That really was bad.”
