X Factor shock as Miss Frank are booted off the show
Last updated at 12:11pm on 26.10.09Miss Frank were voted off The X Factor after a sing-off against hotly tipped Danyl Johnson which X Factor supremo Simon Cowell described as "a total joke".

End of the road: Miss Frank have been voted off
Cowell was stunned to find his protege in the bottom two after the public vote, and said he had "never been so surprised" in his life.
X Factor Blog: How did Danyl Johnson end up in the bottom two?
With Cowell and rival judge Louis Walsh both backing their own acts, and Dannii Minogue siding with Danyl, it was left to Cheryl Cole to cast the deciding vote.
But she abstained and left it up to the public count to decide, with prep school dance teacher Danyl winning through.
Miss Frank - Graziella Affinita, 25, a student, Shaniece Davis, 21, a hairdresser, and Shar Alexandra, 25, a recruitment consultant, all from London - sang Love Don't Live Here Any More.
And Danyl gave a powerful rendition of With A Little Help From My Friends.
After Danyl's performance Cowell said: "I've never been so surprised in my life.
"If this is your last performance, I've never heard someone going out on such a high.
"I think it's a joke that you're in the position you're in, a total joke."
He said Danyl put on an "incredible" performance.
Cole said she was "really confused" by the public decision, but then said she would leave it up to the vote count to decide.
On hearing that their dream was over, Graziella said: "It's all a bit of a mad rush right now."
But Miss Frank vowed to stay together, with Graziella adding: "We're going to stay together and have our own factor."
Walsh said: "They've got an awful lot more to give, they were at their best last night and I love them."
Tonight's show saw performances from Westlife and Michael Buble, while next week will see veteran rockers Bon Jovi and X Factor favourites JLS take to the stage.
Meanwhile, the X Factor finalists are to release a cover of Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone to raise money for London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Viewers will see the singers perform the track for the first time during the results show on Sunday, November 15, when fans will be able to pre-order it.
The single will go on sale from Monday, November 16.
Jackson, who died in June, went to number one with the song in 1995.
Last year's first X Factor charity single - a cover of Mariah Carey's Hero - raised more than £1 million for the Help For Heroes charity.

I think Miss Frank is a new and refreshing talent, and a group that can be marketed to the charts and to the club scene. I think that they are brillant, they all looked good and sounded great. They are a newly created band and have a long way to go. I hope that Miss Frank get picked up by a record company in the UK as they are a UK talent. or they will end up going to the States who will adopt them as their own. Miss Frank was voted off to soon, and i feel had a lot more to give.

You sad, sad people. And as for B, London's comments, if a Saturday night no brain talent show makes you want to leave the country then good riddance.
- David, London
I sent the following to itv.com this morning, and judging by most of the comments you have received, it appears I am not far wrong.
Last Saturday evening epitomised all that is wrong with this reality tv rubbish. Firstly, where do you get these screaming banshees of an audience from, they show no respect for the judges who comments cannot be heard. Secondly, it was proved to me, that, whenever you invite the general public to vote, it ceases to be a talent finding show, and becomes a popularity contest, with all shades of talent going out of the window. Simon was right when he said he could not believe that the two acts left were at the bottom of the pile. They were in no way the worst acts. The upshot is that once again this reality rubbish will be consigned to the bin, going the same way as that other farce, "strictly come dancing"
Soon I will have to start watching paint dry, if you get my drift.

DIS-BLOODY-GUSTED!!!!
X factor is supposed to be about talent.. if THIS is what th ebritish public class as talent.. Im moving country as lord have mercy on us come election time!...

Why of why are the awful Twins still in this supposedly singing competition.
They really CANNOT sing and do make complete and utter fools of themselves and of the XFactor. Wake up Louis get real.

Cheryl Cole abstaining from voting in the end was a total cop out - she should have taken responsibility and voted to keep Danyl rather than defer to the public vote, which is unreliable at best. Her deferring to the public vote was a gutless disgrace - regardless whether these two acts should have been in the bottom two, it was clear that Danyl was better so on the basis of merit, she should have made her choice.

I am voting for the Irish lads so hopefully they will win and that will be the end of the Xfactor, Cowell and co. The ITV may be forced to put something decent on the box no a Saturday evening.

Those boys, John and Edward, really have the x factor.
I'm voting for them all they way.
- Mike, London
John and Edward = fun. May they remain till the final!
- Nsat, London
well we all know why the twins are in the show in the first place (they are irish) so louie as always picks irish people regardless of talent, its quite pathetic anyway don't think they will ever win but its sad talent is leaving and they are still there!!!
- Moe, london
I cannot believe that the twins are still in. We watched Saturday night's show in Ireland and everyone was cringing watching them and reckon that if the Irish could vote, they would have gone by now.

Shirley Bassey's performance was easily the finest concert of the week. Over 50 years in the business and she still has the best voice in music

Oh dear I think some of you are missing the point; there's loads of people out there who can't stand the X-Factor (inc. me) and are voting for the twins (not inc. me;why waste good money) because they have had enough of the X-Factor being rammed down there throats!
I actually watched the show last night and feel sorry for Miss Frank, although when the lead singer broke into the highly predictable and very old-hat rap, in the middle of their song they blew it for me.
- Mark, South-East London
What an absolute waste of air time the twins are, they can't sing or dance they are a ratings booster. Get them off the telly their ego's are big enough.
Come on ITV do something or everyone will defect to strictly come dancing!!!!!!!!!

How do we have the two MUPPETS TWINS still in the show, John & Edward should have gone this week, they have no talent what so ever. Louis must be mad to have chosen them for his last 3 acts, he nearly won last year with a brilliant group (JLS) why did he keep these two??????????? No chance this year Louis they need to go & th sooner the better.
- A, UK
What a joke the x factor has become get them two clowns off Mr Walsh should be taking the blame for this he put them through Simon was right to call them Cretins.

The whole show is a joke at some points. Anyone who's ever been to an audition will tell you. They film the first auditions pretending that ten's of thousands of hopefuls are queueing up to see the judges.....errr no. You've had 3 or 4 auditions before you get in front of the judges. That said I do enjoy the show but it's quickly becoming the laughing stock. Get rid of those two arrogant little kids before one of the serious contenders goes. Sorry, Miss Frank, you were good but you were never going to beat the likes of Joe or Lucy or most of the solo artists
- John Anniss, Gorleston on Sea, England
Cheryl should not have been allowed to abstain from voting. Why is she on the show as a judge *snigger* if she refuses to vote?!
- Susie, London
Any wonder Great Britain is no longer great!!! When the british public don't know which act is best in a singing competition - god help our elections!!! I pray it's corruption on the votes/phonelines and it's all part of the show for effect for viewing figures and media coverage.
- Ani, U.K
I feel desperately sorry for Louis, hanging on to onto one act for the rest of the show. Then again I can't wait for the dreadful twosome to be voted off ........ what's a girl to do?
- Marianne, SW France/London
This is not funny any more, what in the world is Jonh and Edward doing in this competition? It is not a joke that Miss Frank is out when we all know that the persons that should be leaving or not even be in the competition at all, is those two less interesting, less entertaining and not so good looking little CHILDREN.
I just think that it is time for Simon Cowell to use his power to throw those CHILDREN out. Come on Simon, it is time to be Simon Cowell.

hey miss frank dont take it to heart you where better than some they have to get rid of the good ones in by keeping the bad in (ie the twins)
