Army bosses snub Katie Price offer to visit our troops

Military chiefs have snubbed Katie Price's offer to visit British troops in Afghanistan, it was revealed today.

Marching orders: Price at a book signing in Newcastle on Saturday. She had hoped to visit Helmand
The glamour model, 31, also known as Jordan, was said to be keen on a morale-boosting visit to Helmand Province in the run-up to Christmas. The MoD is said to be deluged with requests from celebrities every Christmas to see the troops, and bids to head to Afghanistan have been pouring into top brass for months.
The mother-of-three's bid was turned down after a formal MoD meeting which looked at all requests to head out to the warzone, and her attempt was considered low priority. An MoD spokesman said: “Katie Price did ask to visit Afghanistan but owing to a packed schedule of visits and the second round of elections in the country, her request was turned down.”
The embarrassing snub comes after Price was officially divorced from ex-husband Peter Andre, 36, last week, and on the back of claims that she has thrown boyfriend Alex Reid, 27, out of her house after a series of rows. The two started dating in July, two months after her split from Andre.

What the hell could she do to entertain the troups?come to think of it ,what could Andre do?he"s a terrible singer and probably unknown to the troups.
Our troups deserve top rate superstars, not 3rd rate Jordan and Andre who only do things for their own benefit and ego"s.However,if they were on stage together singing it would be probably be the best laugh for Christmas.

Thank goodness the MOD has turned her "false" request to see the troups down. Katie Price aka Jordon signs books she hasn't written and receives all the praise for them. She prances about half naked, pouts her enhanced lips, wears too much make up! And comments about her sex life on live television even when her children are there.

Thank you MOD for not allowing her to come out to a war zone, all she'll want is a photo opportunity wearing body armour surrounded by guys who would rather be with their families, friends and loved ones, she'll be more hassle than she is worth. Why can't these "celebs" come out to see the troops all year around..?? or better still, go and see our friends, familiy and loved ones who are at home, worried about us and missing us. They need support and to also be remembered for the sacrifice that they are making, having to be both mother and father to our children, worried parents, friends who jump at every news report, they are going through their own personal hell too.
Peter Andre is going to do that by having a concert for families of servicemen out in Afghan - Pete, a BIG THANK YOU from all of us here for thinking about those left at home.

Her publicity is starting to make me squirm with embarrassment on her behalf. She is a product that is looking shopworn and what she sells is a tired message now. Move on Kate. Get a new lifestyle and find out what else you are capable of being. Or if you must head for the surgeons one more time, see about getting the creepy balloons removed. They make me feel sorry for you and I don't want to pity you.

She used to be so beautiful and now, at only 31 years, the plastic surgery has taken it's toll on this once beautiful face. Her other problem is that she has no humility and always had to be the top dog. I believe she always loved Peter but she just could not treat him with the love and respect one would give to the man you love. She just had to tell him, on a regular basis, that she was the one who earned most of the money. That is very hard for a man to take. Hard for anyone to take actually. Now she has lost him! and for what? What has she got now? Her millions of pounds, her grand house and half the custody of their children. Not a great deal really.

I salute the MoD for making that decision. To stop that trashy, ego maniac, self publicity, self centered, plastic person from going out to visit the troops out there. I have a friend out there in Afghanistan at the moment. When i told him about her possible visit lets say he didn't want her out there. How many more don't want her out there. Probably a lot. So, good on you MoD.

I saw her on the Jonathan Ross show recently. What a mess she is. A burka to hide her face and body would be appropriate attire for her. Well done to the Army chiefs for their decision.

Well done the army bosses. They've got enough low life to deal with in the form of the Taliban. This skanky chav has really reached rock bottom. PLEASE, stop giving her ANY publicity. She's not worth it.

I think our troops in Afghanistan have enough evil, spiteful mercenaries to deal with in the form of the Taliban. They don't need another one turning up in their own ranks to try and boost morale.
I don't think some pampered millionaire, who spends more money on her make-up and plastic surgery than the MoD spends on military equipment, turning up is likely to boost morale at all. In fact, seeing her turn up at base camp would probably convince even the most patriotic soldier to defect.
Well done to the MoD for keeping this self-centred, publicity-seeking nightmare away from the honest, hard-working troops who don't deserve to be put through such an ordeal on top of what they're already dealing with.

The Army have shown some taste. Our troops have enough to put up with without being insulted by a crass attempt by a talentless "glamour model" to raise her own profile. *She is very talented at exploiting her lack of talent before anyone points that out.
