X Factor guru: Put Jedward on medication

Terrible twins John and Edward Grimes are so annoying to work with they need sedating, according to X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman. The man behind the contestants' stage routines each week admits he can only take the twins in “very small doses”.

Rock revision: Jedward study the lyrics to Queen's We Will Rock You

He said: “The twins are definitely the craziest to work with, they are literally like toddlers, I think maybe they need medication. You can deal with them in very small doses — or maybe if you could put Sellotape over their mouths after a while.”

X Factor Blog: Will the twins cause the death of X Factor?

The 18-year-old twins are probably the most hotly debated topic in Britain right now, with their popularity surging — partly due to their comically bad performances, but also because of scathing attacks sent their way by Simon Cowell.

Disaster: Simon is praying that the Grimes boys fail

The “Mr Nasty” music mogul has to sign up the winners of the competition, so he is rightly terrified that they might actually win the series and be thrust upon him.

He said today: “I'm praying John and Edward don't win but there are reports they might be in the lead. They are completely deluded and live in fantasy land but they are lovely.

“If they win it would be a complete disaster. I would get on a plane and leave the country then sulk for about six months, and Louis [their mentor] will be in serious trouble.”

To add to their woes, the twins may have contracted swine flu during a visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The pair shook hands with a hospital security manager on Tuesday who was diagnosed with the virus hours later.

Let's hope they make the live finals tomorrow, when it is rock week. The twins will be singing Queen's We Will Rock You, Lucie Jones is due to perform Guns N' Roses' Sweet Child O'Mine and Olly Murs is doing The Beatles' Come Together.

Stretching the theme slightly is Stacey Solomon who is doing Keane's Somewhere Only We Know, while Danyl Johnson is said to be torn between I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith and a rock version of Wham's Careless Whisper.

Lloyd Daniels is to perform Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl, although someone should tell him the meaning could alter somewhat.

And exactly how many of the winners are actually having a successful career out of the show? Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke (at the moment at least) but what happened to all the others?

Maybe it's the kiss of death to actually win, so let Jedward win, have their 15 mins and never be seen again - job done.

It is so unfair that talented people are being sent home while the twins stay in the competition. They should be mortified to see real talented singers, who would have a chance, having their dreams shattered because of them.. Do they really believe they are talented and will go places? Lets face it, without the show they will disappear from the spotlight, they are a novelty that even hardened fans will eventually get sick of.. If they win, I think they should cancel the XFactor because it will no longer be a talent show..

I've watched X Factor since it started, only voted twice, for Will Young and Shane Ward, now I think its all a bit of a fix, bit like soap opera, everyone but the viewers knows what going to happen! To see the lovely young girl singer out tonight and the twins still in, well its just tells anyone with an ounze of sense that its all planned! I could have believed it if the young blonde lad had gone, (sorry not good with names), but if anyone has any sense now they'll realise its all fixed, if it wasn't then the two that were in the bottom tonight wouldn't have been and me, just for one won't give it the time of day anymore, not sure about anyone else, but if this show is honest then I'm a Dutch Man, which I'm not!

"He is rightly terrified that they might actually win the series and be thrust upon him." Would he go bust as a result? If voting for these guys gets rid of Mr Nasty from our t.v. screens forever it is worth persuading every man, woman and child to pick up the phone for Jedward.

I agree with Simon, the twins are very very annoying, They would never last in the music industry beacause they think too much of themselves and would not take directions from anyone who has more experience than them, Let's face it they have no experience at all.
