Victoria Beckham buys David micro pigs for Christmas
Last updated at 09:26am on 04.11.09They could become the must-have Christmas present for those who have everything this festive season. After the minature dog, carried in the handbags of stars like Paris Hilton, comes the latest designer pet — the micro pig.

And, of course, first in the queue for the latest trend is Victoria Beckham, who has splashed out on £1,400 on two nine-inch tall, 13lb micro pigs as an early Christmas present for husband David.
While she has already reportedly nicknamed the miniature pot-bellied Gloucester Old Spot cross-breeds Elton and David, after good friends Elton John and his partner David Furnish, husband David is said to be keen on the more appropriate “Pinky” and “Perky”.
The pedigree pets are now getting used to a life of luxury at the family's Beckingham Palace mansion in Hertfordshire, where it is believed will be allowed the run of the house.
A source said: “What can you possibly buy the multi-millionaire superstar footballer who has absolutely everything? In the case of David Beckham, the answer is, obviously, a pair of cuddly designer piglets.
“Victoria fell in love with them and realised she'd found the perfect present.”
At two years old they are fully grown, but still only weigh up to 65lb and stand at around 14in tall.
Breeder Jane Croft, 42, said: “Micro pigs make fantastic pets as they are very low maintenance. They don't make much noise, they are easy to toilet train and once they have bonded with you they are very loving.”

As caring intending owner's of two micro pigs, VB has of course arranged shipping documents and passports for this latest grab for column inches?
No doubt their ultimate destiny will be the same as the surviving lambs we were obliged to read about in the past, so why tell the media?
LA Galaxy are unlikely to allow David piggy family leave in addition to a four month break in Milan and recently remembering VB stated that her 'career' was based in LA as was her three son's schooling.
So why say anything at all? Answer, obvious. Publicity at any price.
