Can Guy Ritchie's celebrity mates save his boozer?

Updated 11:42am on 4 Nov 2009

There's nothing like a few civilians whimpering to get your celebrity pals out in a show of moral support. Guy Ritchie's pub the Punch Bowl is reportedly endangered after wealthy Mayfair residents got fed up with the noise and began petitioning for a review of its licence.

The W1 residents have complained about “a severe downward spiral in quality of life.” They are aghast at the “shouting and singing” and collection of chauffeurs and paparazzi.

Not so down and out in Mayfair last night were Trudie Styler and Sting (above), supermodel Helena Christensen, along with Sir Elton John's partner David Furnish.

Interior designer Kelly Hoppen and cobbler Patrick Cox also popped in. Perhaps this display of A list solidarity will save Guy's boozer ahead of next month's ruling.
