Sugababe Jade Ewen: I'm terrified of Keisha

Sugababe Jade Ewen has revealed that she is terrified of bumping into Keisha Buchanan — over fears that Keisha may launch an unprovoked attack.

Yet to meet: Keisha Buchanan, left, and is that body armour Jade Ewen has on?

The 21-year-old singer, who was brought into replace Keisha, spoke of her concerns during an interview ahead of the group's performance at this year's Jingle Bell Ball.

When asked if she has met Keisha, Jade told us: “No. I'm quite scared. I'm sure she wouldn't do anything to me...”

She didn't sound that sure to us. Keisha left the band claiming that there was a breakdown in trust and a lack of communication when it was speculated that Amelle Berrabah would leave the group.

Jade added: “One of the things I struggled with was being accused of being her friend beforehand and stabbing her in the back — but I've never met her in my life!

“Weirdly she sent me a friend request on Facebook a couple of weeks before this all happened and I was like, why would Keisha from the Sugababes add me?', and I sent her a message to say hi and never got anything back. Maybe it was a sign.”

Jade revealed that she nearly missed out on being in the group altogether when the other Babes — Heidi and Amelle — changed their mind at the last minute and decided to give Keisha another chance.

She said: “I can remember getting ready to get on the plane and the girls changed their mind and said they were going to do whatever it took to make it work with Keisha. I was really upset but I kept my suitcase with me just in case they changed their minds!”

Thankfully for Jade, another row within the group sealed her fate.

One person who Jade is looking forward to getting to know is Amelle Berrabah — who returns to Britain tomorrow after a stint of rehab in Germany.

Amelle spent 20 days in the health clinic after doctors diagnosed her with nervous exhaustion.

God what an idiot, just a silly little girl who clearly needs to be media trained..... clearly just trying to get some press and attention. Sugababes are no longer a proper band now Keisha was ousted and to be honest even though there new single is a good song.... if you go online and compare the 2 versions keishas version is a hundred times better than the jade version....

Can't believe that she said that... she's just trying to get sympathy. Last week Keisha said she wishes all the girls well - even though they had stabbed her in the back - so I can't understand why Jade is attacking her character. Keisha was the heart of the Sugababes and they don't exist without her. Can't wait for Keisha's solo stuff - KEISHA ROCKS!!!!

Jade it seems you love trouble and attention but distroying Keisha's career isn't the way. You got what you wanted, get a life.

Silly little girl. Keisha has said nothing but good luck to you girls you should be embarassed to make such a comment about her.
You should make up your own mind and not listen to silly gossip. There are always two sides to a story.
Good luck - Heidi will be next, she already looks too old now in the new line up and Amelle will be hard work for you.

Jade, why don't you leave Keisha alone. Why are you trying to start some kind if hate campaign againt Keisha. Has Keisha ever attacked anyone? Please. Are you and your band members feeling you need the sympathy of the public for your new release to do well? We are not thick Jade.
