Every young girl dreams of walking down the catwalk. So when Kate Moss offered to host a model-themed birthday party for Sadie Frost and Jude Law's daughter Iris, the youngster didn't have to think twice.

Friends & fashionistas: Sadie Frost and Kate Moss planned a catwalk birthday for Sadie's daughter Iris

Iris celebrated her eighth birthday yesterday, and guests — including Kate's daughter Lila Grace — put on their own catwalk show in Primrose Hill.

Our source told us: “Kate had been teaching Iris and Lila Grace how to model and how to walk the catwalk properly in preparation for the party. They could hardly have a better teacher.

“All of the girls at the bash wanted to be Kate'. She brought along lots of clothes for them and the girls had their hair and make-up done especially.
“Kate also presided over all of the accessories to make them look as catwalk-ready as possible.

She was teaching them how to master her famous hip swagger and her I don't care look'. It went down so well that Iris and Lila Grace now both want to be models like Kate.”

While we have to agree that they could have no finer teacher than Kate, 35, there are perhaps some of her traits that they'd be better off avoiding.

Meanwhile, the supermodel is about to launch her new range for Topshop and has said that her clothes are successful because of her catwalk expertise. She said: “I don't think people buy these things because they want to look like me. They buy them because they know that I have an input, and that I really know about fashion, about fit. And so I should, I've had 20 years of clothes on my back. If I can keep people interested in my work for another few years I'll be happy.”

An army of eight-year-old fans sounds like a good start...

Poor kids, if at 8 years old they're being encouraged to emulate half-starved, drug-addled women who sell their bodies to make money, imagine what kind of state they'll be in when they hit adolescence.
