Take That member Mark Owen tied the knot at a wedding ceremony in the Scottish Highlands.

The 37-year-old singer married Emma Ferguson at Cawdor Parish Church in the town of Cawdor, near Nairn, this afternoon.

Owen arrived with fellow Take That members Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange just after 4pm.

More than 100 Take That fans had gathered from 10am in the hope they would catch a glimpse of their heroes, and the band stopped briefly to wave to well-wishers outside the church.

All four men wore black tux suits with white ties and red roses in their buttonholes.

Robbie Williams, a former member of the band, was not seen entering the church.

Ferguson kept her groom waiting, as is tradition, arriving at 4.55pm for the service. Wearing a white fitted wedding dress with V-neck and a lace antique style veil, she was accompanied by two bridesmaids, also in white.

The bride paused to smile and waved to the cheering crowd before entering the church as darkness fell.

It is understood Miss Ferguson had hoped for service with candlelight for the wedding, which has reportedly been two years in the planning.

The doors were shut for the service, which is thought to have included some guitar music as musicians were spotted at the venue earlier today.

It is understood the couple chose the remote Scottish location as they have enjoyed happy holidays in the area.

The wedding guests and newlyweds emerged from the church just before 6pm, and the new Mr and Mrs Owen were showered with confetti.

The wedding party made an archway through which husband and wife walked, hiding them from the view of the gathering crowd.

They then made their way through the church grounds to a rear exit, and it is understood they made their way on to nearby Cawdor Castle, where the wedding reception was being held.

The couple have two children, toddler Elwood and Willow Rose, who was born last November.
