Katie Price gets £350k for a week LESS as an I'm A Celebrity star
By Georgina Littlejohn, London Lite Last updated at 12:28pm on 11.11.09Katie Price is facing an angry backlash from her fellow I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestants after it was revealed she will be earning £350,000 — more than five times as much as them.

Flight of fancy: Katie Price stops off in Los Angeles
The glamour model will also be arriving in the camp a week after the others, who are receiving around £65,000 each.

Long way from home: Lucy Benjamin heads into the jungle
Price, 31, will be making her second appearance on the reality TV show, which begins its ninth series on Sunday.

Tidy: Kim Woodburn keep the jungle clean?
She flew into Los Angeles this morning, where she plans to top up on Botox jabs and have her hair extensions done. She will head to the jungle Down Under next week.
There she will join former glamour model Sam Fox, 43, ex-EastEnder Lucy Benjamin, 39, TV makeover couple Colin McAllister, 41, and Justin Ryan, 42, snooker star Jimmy White, 47, former footballer Colin Hendry, 43, Strictly Come Dancing's Camilla Dallerup, 35, How Clean Is Your House? star Kim Woodburn, 67, and 31-year-old singer Sabrina Washington.
ITV bosses reportedly wanted to keep Price's appearance a secret from the other contestants until she arrived in the camp. But it has now been leaked and the celebrities are reportedly furious that Price, aka Jordan, will not only miss the first week of the show, but will also be receiving so much more money.
A friend of one of the contestants said: “This is really taking the mick. We were pushing for more cash but were told things were tight this year. Now we know why.
“If ITV are looking for real trouble in the jungle, they will certainly be getting it once Katie Price turns up.”
Price first appeared on the show in January 2004 where she met singer Peter Andre, 36, who she married in September that year. They had two children — son Junior, four, and two-year-old daughter Princess Tiáamii — but divorced in September.
Price will be in California three days before completing the rest of her journey to Australia.

What ever Katie does she is slammed for it. If the media is willing to pay a vast sum for her to enter the jungle, what a fool she would be to refuse. She has guts, no one can deny that and remember, she has a family to feed, and who has the right to call her for doing just that. Get a li fe, moaners

I wish people would give Katie Price a break. I think she's a lovely girl but too trusting for her own good. I wish I had her looks and drive. I wouldn't be in the position I'm in now if I did. I wish her all the luck in the world and her family. Let's face it, how many of us would have the guts to go into that Jungle and face those awful tasks? Good luck Katie.xxxxxxxxxxxx

what the hell is im a celebrity up to! y would you put someone who is already bin on it an has lost a lot of respect from the public lately, the women is always in the newspapers, mags an on tv with something nasty an spiteful to say. when i first saw her on im a celebrity i loved her but since the break up with pete she doesn't have my respect any more, i think she an attention seeker an a not a very nice person i hope she gets voted of he first week, theirs got to be someone who is better then her to put in im a celebrity?

Bet she will be the first person voted off, so why are they paying her that much money????

I am afraid that the brutal truth is that she is the only celebrity. The others are hasbeens or neverbeens that I've never really heard of. This is the reality of reality television. And guess what, loads of people will watch (not me), because she is on. No one will watch because the others are on.

Sad, sad , sad ! the best of british ?! I will be boycotting this drivel...vacuous, the lot...I feel sorry for her kids ! we should be showcasing positive role models for our young girls, not sending the message that the exterior is the most important thing in life and will buy you happiness and is a measurement of success in life ..is she happy ?! I think not. Also reinforcing a lack of respect for women by our men. which is rife in this country and the world..I'm a feminist, intelligent and beautiful ...I feel let down by the image she portrays and feel she has helped destroy the work of feminist movement and strong women worldwide, her and her kind..obviously only in there to get them out for the lads..and further her career..if this is feminism...I fear for us all ?
.why did we fight for the equal rights for women all those years ago..she is making a mockery of it all...I thought we had come further than the dark ages where women were judged on their brains and skills rather than simply an exterior...a fake one at that...Go home and mind your kids katie !! I think Pete had a lucky escape...can't believe it...if she does go ahead with the show , perhaps she will donate the 350K to charity...there are far more less fortunate than her in the world...boycott it peeps if you have any sense ! what people will do for money eh !

I don't like her much but so what if she gets paid more than the others? It's up to ITV what they pay her and whatever you think of her and whether it's morally right or not she is more famous and 'current' than the other's named in the article and more likely to draw in a bigger crowd of the type of people that watch that kind of show. I expect she'll have a horrible time anyway and the line-up looks ripe for bitchy fights before you add Jordan to the mix. I'm sure this is what ITV are hoping for.

Didn't she do this programme before or am I imagining that she met Peter on a reality show!

What an insult to the other contestants,to be 5th rate to Jordan.Instead of a reality show it is now a staged show,it will not be possible to work out what is real and what is staged.
ITV should pay everyone involved and cancel the staged show.

Wonderful news. As long as I don't open a news paper or turn on the TV in the near future I shouldn't have to see this pathetic excuse for a human being. In that respect worth every penny.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed but Katie Price's one and only claim to fame is having pumped up boobs and getting them out more than people actually want to see them.
- Jimbob, Kensington
She has shown herself to be a total fraud and lost all credibility. ITV will see the biggest switch away from a show that has reached its sell by date, a bit like all the so called celebrities the show is trying to say it has signed up.
Do us all a favour and close the show now!!
- Robert Marshall, LONDON
What a joke.
She is not worth the effort or the money.
I hope the other contestants break her once and for all.
