So who said Lucie Jones didn't have the X Factor?
Updated 17:01pm on 12 Nov 2009X Factor reject Lucie Jones attracted a huge crowd when she appeared to switch on Christmas lights.

Joy: Lucie Jones turns on Stockport lights
But unfortunately that is all she will do for the foreseeable future after being banned from accepting other offers of work as she is still under contract with the show.

Fan club: the fans came out in force for Lucie
The Welsh singer, 20, was controversially voted off the ITV hit series on Sunday after a sing-off with twins John and Edward Grimes. Simon Cowell had the casting vote which many felt sealed her fate, so he may have winced when he saw the hundreds of fans supporting her in Stockport last night.
Since her exit on Sunday she has been inundated with offers, including record contracts, a lead role in a BBC drama, a spot in a West End musical and a Hollywood movie audition.
But she has had to turn down every job because she is still tied to the X Factor under her exclusive contract conditions.
The former barmaid's agent Leigh-Ann Regan said she was trying to change the terms of the contract.
But while she was flicking on the illuminations last night, the “Jedward” twins who sealed her X Factor fate were jeered as they arrived at The O2.
The 18-year-olds went to watch US boyband Backstreet Boys perform at the Dockland's venue, but a loud boo went up as they walked in.
An onlooker said: “The poor lads looked really miffed.”

Class act, superb voice, with the right nurturing could be big. I hope she gets that chance and shoves it right down the throat of cowell and fuller. What cowell did was disgraceful, and also the irish vote for JEDWARD proves again, irish don't vote for talent, just their own! It's a singing competition not a joke comedy act. Louise Walsh changes his tune each week, he said one week "its a singing competition" another week "its about talent and likeability factor" and JEDWARD has that, after slating some of the better singers. Frankly he should not be managing, but serving scoops of mr whipper for a mobile ice cream van in my view.

Lucie Jones is a class act. She will go on to show that you don't need that cringeworthy hypocrite to conquer the music world.

i think it was really wrong of Simon to make it so that Lucy Jones wen off the X Factor because she should have got through and she would have the public vote on favorites though not who is a good singer!!!!

keeping in mind, that though she was harshly treated, she has had a recording contract previously so she's not exactly an unknown hoping for her first big break.
but she certainly has the likeability factor, which can take you a long, long way.
