Peter Andre refused to return to I'm A Celebrity
Updated 09:04am on 17 Nov 2009Peter Andre turned down a chance to return to I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! which would have seen him sharing a camp with ex-wife Katie Price.
The star scotched speculation he was set to join the model in the jungle, saying in his column in New! magazine: "Nothing could be further from the truth."
He also said Price's decision to go back on the show meant he would be able to have their children to himself for a while.
Andre wrote: "I was approached by ITV to do the show three months ago, but I said no straight away. "For me, it would be like going backwards and - as much as I love the people at ITV - I am keen to move forwards.
"And, more importantly, I can't even begin to contemplate being away from the kids for a month."
The couple found love on the fly-on-the-wall show five years ago and Price has told how she hopes her return to the programme will bring her "closure".
But first she had to overcome her fear of water to earn her place in the camp.
The model swam through a stinking swamp crammed with fish guts and cockroaches, in a bid to unclip 12 balls under water and throw them into a basket.
The glamour star managed to win seven gifts for the camp, one for each ball she retrieved.
She was told she could pick treats including coffee, tea and chocolate - but in order to take them Price was told the camp's luxury items must be sacrificed.
She decided: "I'm going to take in the gifts, they're going to like that but I don't think they're going to love the fact they're going to have to give up their luxury items."
Price, wearing a skimpy black and tiger print swim suit, was greeted with kisses from the celebrities.
She told them: "It's so weird to be back here. I thought if there were no beds I'd sleep on the floor.
"I don't care."
Price enjoyed a fairytale romance with her ex-husband Andre five years ago, but she said she is on the lookout for friendship and not love this time around - or even "eye candy" - despite pals texting her to say former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning is a "right sort".
She said: "A lot of people say I am mad coming back and I'm walking through here and it is bringing back memories but it's where my fairytale started and it's where it ends, right here. Closure.
"I'm away from all the newspapers, the paparazzi and it's peace and quiet for me."
Meanwhile, Kim Woodburn managed to win the full 11 stars during the first bushtucker trial, called Dreaded Descent.
She was locked inside a box dubbed The Tomb and submerged under water, with 10 minutes to get 11 stars out of the gold balls deposited inside.
The How Clean is Your House? presenter was soon complaining that bugs were "nipping her bosom."
As she wiped them away, Woodburn accidentally pulled her top down revealing her bra. Hosts Ant and Dec informed her and she quickly covered up.
Winning the full 11 stars, Woodburn told how how her ample bosom helped her capture the golden balls, saying: "Its lucky I've got big boobs otherwise it would have rolled off."
And Woodburn warned Dec: "I have something about me that young men ogle; get your eyes off my bosoms young man."

Oh give it a rest Pete. It's funny how everything he does and says is always a thinly veiled attack on his ex. It annoys me that he is able to pull the wool over everybody's eyes. He doesn't breath without his manager Claire's say-so. Everything with him is a strategic game plan and I am bored to death of it. I'm not saying Katie is perfect but at least with her what you see is what you get.

All Andre seems to do is nothing but look for sympathy and of course media cover. He would still be working in a gym in Australia had he not met Jordan,he"s a sad excuse for a man and of course i expect we will have to put up with photos of him and the kids over the next few weeks.
Andre and Jordan do not realise the damage they are doing to their kids and they don"t seem to care otherwise they would keep their antics to themselves, its not funny.

Without a doubt, Peter Andre is the lesser of the two evils. But lets not forget they are both complete z list self promoting wannabees who between them have less talent than a blancmange.

Good for Peter. I'm pleased he turned it down. He did the right thing. Her on the other hand......... has she EVER done anything that didn't involve attention seeking publicity?? You did the right thing when you dumped her Peter. You're sooooooo much better off without this orange plastic skanky chav.
