Katie Price overcomes water phobia to swim through stinking swamp
Updated 11:17am on 17 Nov 2009Katie Price overcame her fear of water in an I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! challenge to swim through a stinking swamp - to earn her place in the camp and treats for her new friends.

Brave: Katie Price in the jungle
Price made her way through the pool crammed with fish guts and cockroaches, in a bid to unclip 12 balls under water and throw them into a basket.

The glamour star managed to win seven gifts for the camp, one for each ball she retrieved.
She told the ITV show: "I knew there was no way they were going to let me just walk into camp. I just knew there was going to be some kind of challenge...
"I'm not really any good with water and I can't tell you how much it stinks."
She was told she could pick treats including coffee, tea and chocolate - but in order to take in the treats Price was told the camp's luxury items must be sacrificed.
She decided: "I'm going to take in the gifts, they're going to like that but I don't think they're going to love the fact they're going to have to give up their luxury items."
Price, wearing a skimpy black and tiger print swim suit, was greeted with kisses from the celebrities.
She told them: "It's so weird to be back here. I thought if there were no beds I'd sleep on the floor.
"I don't care."
She described her task, saying: "I don't like water and I had a swimming accident when I was younger so the thought of me having to go under water... "
The newcomer also immediately offered to forgo her dinner, saying: "I had a big breakfast. I don't mind you lot having my dinner. I've eaten. You'll be starving."
Later, round the camp fire, make-over guru Justin Ryan told a story about when he first met Price.
He told her that he had asked for an interview via a mutual friend but told Price that she had refused - flicking the V sign in his direction - "which to us was horrible."
He conceded that perhaps she had been having a bad day. Price said: "I didn't mean it personally."
Price is hoping that her return to the jungle will bring "closure" on the fairytale romance she enjoyed there with her ex-husband Peter Andre, five years ago.
But she said she is on the lookout for friendship and not love this time around - or even "eye candy" - despite pals texting her to say former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning is a "right sort".
She said: "A lot of people say I am mad coming back and I'm walking through here and it is bringing back memories but it's where my fairytale started and it's where it ends, right here. Closure.

"I'm away from all the newspapers, the paparazzi and it's peace and quiet for me.
"I haven't got to prove anything to anyone. I hope I meet some nice friends in there to be honest. I don't want any dramas. I'm not looking for love. I'm not looking for eye candy.
"A lot of my friends have texted me saying that 'Stuart's a right sort isn't he?' but I'm staying away.
"I've got someone."
Meanwhile, Kim Woodburn managed to win the full 11 stars during the first bushtucker trial, called Dreaded Descent.
She was locked inside a box dubbed The Tomb and submerged under water, with 10 minutes to get 11 stars out of the gold balls deposited inside.
The How Clean is Your House? presenter was soon complaining that bugs were "nipping her bosom."
As she wiped them away, Woodburn accidentally pulled her top down revealing her bra. Hosts Ant and Dec informed her and she quickly covered up.
Winning the full 11 stars, Woodburn told how how her ample bosom helped her capture the golden balls, saying: "Its lucky I've got big boobs otherwise it would have rolled off."
And Woodburn warned Dec: "I have something about me that young men ogle; get your eyes off my bosoms young man."

Bringing Katie back on i'm a celebrity has put me off watching.
I do not want to get into the habit off watching repeats of reality television

Wether you like her or not,she is determined to do well and i think she will.Andre said that he turned the show down,he,of course, gave no reason why, perhaps he was only offered £25 which is about what he is worth.
Jordan is what she is like her or not.Andre i feel is a user of people ,the media and of course Jordan who without her he would be back in australia feeding the roos.

She looks as if she's had too much filler put in above her top lip.
More Donald Duck than Water Nymph.

While she is not my cup of tea, i don't like the way her ex and his managers set her up and so i hope that she does well and really does put closure on Pete, that way she will start living a bit more sensibly
