Camilla Dallerup quits I'm A Celebrity after too much jungle fever
Updated 15:32pm on 18 Nov 2009Dancer Camilla Dallerup has quit I'm A Celebrity after just a matter of days, it was announced today.
The Strictly Come Dancing star was struggling with exhaustion over the past few days and had been feeling unwell.
She has been replaced on the ITV1 show by former British heavyweight boxing champ Joe Bugner.
Bugner famously clashed with Muhammad Ali in the 1970s in a bid to win the world title but lost on points.

Fed up: Camilla Dallerup has left the show
Earlier this week professional dancer Dallerup had bemoaned the lack of nutrition in the Australian jungle camp, which she said was leaving her exhausted.
She said she was having difficulty summoning the energy to shower.
"It's not eating. Heat, I can deal with. I've got the highest metabolism of anyone I know. I feel useless being here so tired. You can't help anyone," she said.
During scenes screened on the show, Danish-born Dallerup was seen sobbing, telling fellow jungle dwellers: "I feel like I am struggling to speak properly.
"I don't feel like anything. I don't know what I need. I just find it really scary."
The rest of the Celebrity contestants rallied round her offering her sugar to boost her energy levels. But that wasn't enough to keep her in the jungle.

I have no sympathy! I didnt see her make any effort - tired or not. I think she has just deliberately blagged a free holiday at the Versace Hotel - everyone knows this is what they get as soon as they are out. They get to stay there until the show is finished. Its on for weeks!!!

Yeah, she knew what she was in for. It doesn't take a lot of research to find out what happens does it? LOL! I'm glad she's gone. Now, all eyes on Stuart Manning folks, he's going to come out of his shell, i know it!

The show obviously worked for her as, before today, I had never heard of her.

She knew what she was in for and should have turned it down, but of course the media cover and money were more important than letting people down.A selfish femail who wouldn"t even give it a go.She has taken ITV for a ride and also the viewers.

I wonder if she regrets leaving Strictly?
It seems a strange decision really. Giving up a prime BBC show, where she got to showcase her considerable skills as a dancer and to have to resort to living in an infested hole for a few weeks.
If she did make a mistake, I hope she is able to return to SCD. I miss her.

She signed up for I'm a Celebrity and ended up on the Katie Price show. No wonder she left.

You try living off baked beans and rice for a week. Not very easy. Good to see Bugner back in the limelight. He and Billy walker and Frank Bruno were supreme reps for Brtish Boxing. They never won anything significant but kept the flag flying. All had glass chins. The only champs we produced were Cooper Marsh and the Irish One.

Good for her, she's too fragile for this sort of unladylike lifestyle, its a disgusting show.

Also why should she and the other 'celebs' be sidelined by the botoxed katie price? why bother to participate any further when the show has been turned into the katie price show? i don't blame camillia - get back to the comfort of the hotel....
