Katie Price quits I'm A Celebrity over bug diet
Updated 13:44pm on 23 Nov 2009Katie Price has left the I'm A Celebrity jungle after refusing to undergo another bushtucker trial.
The model was nominated with ex-boxer Joe Bugner for today's Bad Pit test on the ITV show, but said: "I'm just not doing it any more."

She added: "I'm not in it to win it, it makes no odds to me.
"It's not about the money. I didn't come back here for that. I really miss my kids."
"I've done my challenges, people can see I'm genuine. I just don't want to be here any more."
Price, 31, ate bugs and faced spiders in a trial yesterday after a public vote. after leaving the TV show's camp in Australia she was driven to a six-star hotel last night.
Yesterday Price, aka Jordan, turned "breadwinner" as she successfully completed another bushtucker trial.
The star put on a brave face despite begging the public to stop voting for her to do the tasks, saying: "I suppose you get into a routine and the routine is I go out to work to bring back the food and you just have your daily routine. I'm the breadwinner."
The challenge saw her driving a car around a course stopping four times to fight through gunge, eat bugs, and conquer her fear of spiders to win 11 stars out of a possible 12.
Asked why she thought she was being picked, she said: "Either they love me or they hate me. No idea.
"I've always got lovers and haters but my family and friends they probably love it because they get to see more of me but I'm telling them now I'm not loving it.
"I'm gutted I'm not in exile. I'd love to be in the last three to get voted out. It's mad, I've done my due course, get me out of here."
A spokesman for ITV said today that there were "no current plans" to replace Price on the show.
Earlier back at the camp, Kim Woodburn revealed she had a strained relationship with Aggie McKenzie - her co-presenter on How Clean Is Your House?
She told fellow contestant Colin McAllister she knew she wanted to "go it alone" after finishing the latest series and said the pair have "no contact" when they are not filming.
McAllister said: "That's weird. Even if you were just being polite because it's your bread and butter. Because you're a partnership."

My comment about this program is, that i decided not to watch it this year, because i had enough watching people being forced to eat, all that rubbish!! and argue with each other, and i feel, so much better for it. Time for ITV, to change it, or drop it all together.

Some of the comments below are disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. This woman has done nothing personally to any of you, so to have such hate and venom is dispicable. You must live sad, pitiful lives to be able to hold so much hate for somebody you don't know. I just hope you never experience someone judging you like this. The bible sells he who is without sin cast the first stone. I wonder how many of you can do that.

What a nasty-minded country Britain has turned into - can't believe the evil comments towards a fellow human-being. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore. X-Factor gets into trouble for a comment about Danyl but the whole world can say what they want about this women - you should all be ashamed of yourselves and remember, if you haven't anything nice to say, don't say anything. In future, I won't be reading or contributing to Daily Mail comments as it seems that 95% of the people who post are just venting their own anger and frustration on other people - oh what sad lives you must all live.

Katie Price and Gordon Brown have a lot in common. They are both so thick-skinned they don't know when they are no longer wanted. Celebrities have a shelf-life, especially if they have no disurnable talent. Price passed her best-before date ages ago and passed her use-by date when she dropped her husband. Time to disappear Please Katie and Gordon.

Ms Price might be alot of things but stupid she is not.She exploits her image to the full,so good on her.If she didnt she would be another faceless checkout girl who nobody would give a glance to.With an over draft instead of millions in the bank.
If I had what she had i would do the same.Sadly I am a bolding middle aged office bod that nobody notices.Go for it girl.

Maybe, just maybe, the message will now get through to all T.V. producers and Newspaper/ magazine editors. -The public have had enough of this silly woman and her antics. ''Either they love me or they hate me'' -(perhaps not the girls fault as we've had her thrust on us daily by the media for the last few years) - Can we please just move on now, and bring on the next silly celeb?

Katie tried to do everything that was put in front of her. She has nothing to prove now. The public have slated her relentlessly. They will not break her spirit. Well not bad wages for what (added together) a couple of hours of discomfort. This kind of publicity does not bode well and she should know it, all she wants if the money and surely she has enough already. Why did she not stay at home with her children and look after them like her ex husband would given half the chance. She does not need money, Peter would never let the children want for anything he care for them too much.

Its the bugs and critters that get eaten and crushed i feel sorry for and not this useless 'look at me and give me obscene amounts of money for doing so' plastic barbie doll ! The format is looking jaded, sure its still a big money spinner for itv, it would be easier to swallow if we knew a sizeable amount of the profit was given to preserving the jungle or a similar cause and not the less worthy has beens that are presently squirreling away a tidy wedge.

I imagine the trial that proved too much was to be asked to be a mother to her children - a task this silicone monstrosity finds singularly impossible it seems.
