Katie Price dumps cage fighter Alex Reid hours after quitting jungle
Updated 10:48am on 24 Nov 2009Katie Price revealed she had split up with boyfriend Alex Reid after telling how her I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! experience reminded her of Peter Andre.
The glamour girl, who walked out on the jungle after being repeatedly chosen for stomach-churning bushtucker trials by the public, told Ant and Dec her relationship with the cage fighter had ended after saying she had acted like a "right twit" over the past seven months.

Speaking before Lucy Benjamin became the first celebrity to be voted off, Price told how she was leaving the show "with my head between my toes in shame".
Price announced the split live on ITV, adding: "I've done a lot of reflecting. I think it's best I'm on my own, I just don't want to be in a relationship. I hope we can remain friends."
She said she had done "a lot of thinking" while she was in the jungle, adding: "I have to think of me. I have to think of my children.
"I've come back a new person and I'm just going to have a fresh start. It's done me so many favours in there and, I hold my hands up, the last seven months I have acted like a right twit but that was the way I dealt with things. I'm sorry if I upset people."
Describing how the experience had brought back memories of her ex-husband, she said: "The whole place reminded me of Pete from the moment I woke up, the afternoon to the moment I went to sleep, every second it was Pete, Pete, Pete and although they were amazing, happy memories I had in there, I'd lie there and think those good memories are way gone but then I was still there with constant reminders of Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete.
"It was hard to deal with before I went in there, I thought I'll walk in there and either break down or deal with the closure. I walked in and they (the other celebrities) all welcomed me and it was so ironic that I had the same bed as last time; nobody wanted it because the bonfire smokes over it.
"That was really, really hard to deal with because waking up in the mornings I'd wake up and look over and think Peter's going to be there and then I'd be like, course Pete's not going to be there, I'm not with Pete any more."

Former EastEnder Benjamin, meanwhile, took her exit well. After being told she had lost out to Samantha Fox and Gino D'Acampo in the public vote, she said: "I thought so. Someone had to go first. It's fine."
Price, a mother of three, said she had proved herself and was missing her children.
In a foul-mouthed rant after being picked to appear in her seventh trial, she said: "I'm just not doing it. I f****** hate it here. S***hole. I f****** hate it. S***hole."
She later told campmates that she did not need the money.
"If I thought about my reasons for being here, what are they?" she said.
"A cheque for all of us is always attractive but it's not as if I can't earn money at home, it's not always about the money. I met a husband here, had kids and I've had so much s***, coming back is like a big circle for me.
"When Pricey makes a decision, she sticks with it. I'm really sorry for letting everyone down but I can't continue this journey for personal reasons.
"I'll walk with my head between my toes in shame and I'll probably regret it, I feel sick for letting people down, I'm gutted myself I'm leaving."
The glamour girl turned best-selling author had entered the jungle in the wake of her divorce from Andre, whom she met during her previous stint on the show.
Her months in the public eye, as she and Andre slugged it out in a bitter PR battle, seemed to have acted to turn the public against her.
Viewers voted again and again to put her up for the nasty trials which have seen her crunching fish eyes, driving slowly through a web full of spiders and drinking a cockroach smoothie.
Price was regularly seen spilling out of her bra and bikini top since entering the jungle a week ago.
The model, who was reportedly being paid far more than any of the other contestants, is the second person to quit the show this series. Dancer Camilla Dallerup left the show after just three days on medical advice after she struggled with exhaustion on the show.
Price split from Andre in the spring after five years together and their relationship soon descended into a war of words.
She then began a relationship with Reid, who recently took part in a publicity stunt for her new book in which he attended a book signing in drag.
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! averaged 8.7 million viewers last week, the show claimed. The remaining contestants were all up for the public vote tonight.

yes Lou but she's left it too long, ans has been so nasty, arrogant and behaved like a complete slapper. I imagine she is feeling worse than anyone can feel now she realises she has stuffed up bigtime and lost the best thing that ever happened to her. she needs to be on her own and be a normal person (if she can bear to be) . It seems kims harsh words actually made an impact.................................

She is a silly cow sometimes but if people keep buying the tabloids then expect it to continue. It's ridiculous, the British public made her - and several others - into this sort of person, then treat her like some mass murderer when they get bored of it. Idiots!

Yawn! Katie MeMeME Price ... 'I miss my kids!' So why was she not on the first plane home? I don't think the odd glimpse of Mum 'on Skype' is quite the same thing, Katie, especially given that you currently look like a washed-out Kermit the Frog.

Pricey and Andre both love each other and the children that is obvious whatever the agents try and tell us through the media! This split has made a lot of people a lot of money but caused a lot of pain in the process.

As for Mr thicko Second Best....is he REALLY that stupid as to believe that she ever wanted him?? This was classic rebound rubbish on her part and he was gullible enough to fall into her web. Well! Well! Well. She has done it again!!!! Poor me, Poor me. Katie Price is so false.
She should be spending time with her children, sack the nannies and be a mum. Those beautiful children have heard and seen the rows, seen mummy with yet another man parading around in next to nothing. She shouldn't have gone into the jungle when her little boy was ill.
I think she did plan her "great escape" Headlines again Katie YOU LOVE IT!!!

Not having satellite I don't watch it, but I honestly cannot imagine why someone with personal problems would want to magnify their stress and in public to boot. This girl should go home and enjoy her children and heal. She has nothing to prove: who cares what the public thinks? It doesn't think: it reacts - it makes 'celebrities' for no particular reason, baits them then ditches them with their self-esteem dangerously in tatters. Katie Price should channel her considerable energy into a different 'raison d'etre' - then one day she'll find she's famous again but for all the right reasons.
