Susan Boyle wows her US fans with live performance

Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle lapped up the adulation of her fans across the pond as she promoted her debut album.
The Scottish singer was in New York to showcase her debut album and wowed spectators at Rockefeller Plaza with a pitch-perfect rendition of I Dreamed A Dream - the song that propelled her to stardom.
Boyle was greeted by hundreds of screaming American fans and looked comfortable with the attention, shouting: "Hello people" as she made her way to the stage.

New York, New York: Susan Boyle delights the US crowd
Her confident display was in stark contrast to some of her appearances in the UK, where pressure from starring in the live BGT final saw her admitted to the Priory clinic after suffering an emotional breakdown.
Meanwhile her album - also called I Dreamed A Dream - is looking well set to top the charts and could become the fastest-selling release of the year.

Talent is a perception thing, and we all have our own perceptions. The thing about 'entertainment' is that it is also a 'choice' thing.
And nicely side-stepped Jargonaut. I asked how her whereabouts on any given day affected how well she performed when she did so. The people broadcasting the show, playing their shell games with programming, is an entirely different issue.

Who'd have thought Eddie Large's comeback would ever go this well?

Judith, I think you need to have a hearing test. She is an amazing singer... perhaps you are a tad jealous?

It matters because she was introduced as ' being right here, sharing the stage with Mariah Carey ' on Sunday night, when she patently wasn't.
I know that pre-records happens in television, but no one likes being lied to.
It makes me wonder if the results show itself is 'live' or if it's all recorded Saturday night. Wouldn't that be a scandal and a half?
Her voice is okay, but I find her uncomfortable to watch, particularly when she is interviewed, because she still appears far too vulnerable for a career in the tough world of showbiz, which can tear even the strongest person inside out when things start going wrong.
I hope she will be surrounded and supported by true friends when the spotlight fades, which it inevitablly will, and she has to return to Scotland.

Why do people think she's a good singer, it baffles me.

And how does her whereabouts on Saturday then Sunday have anything to do with how well she performs - as though she has anything to do with how her performances are presented? Like her singing or not (and I definitely DO like it) this lady is starting to get more comfortable as a performer and I wish her the best of luck for the future.

I just found out she was actually in New York on Sunday!
So her appearance on Sundays X Factor was pre-recorded.
Is there anything about this show that isn't manufactured?

Hang on.
Ms Boyle was performing in New York on Monday?
She was supposed to be ' live ' on X Factor on Sunday niight.
Did she catch the red-eye, get some kip Monday morning and perform in NY on Monday afternoon? Umm....I suppose it's possible.
Or was her Sunday night performance actually recorded Saturday evening?
