Alex Reid's mum: I'm worried about my son after he was treated cruelly by Katie Price

Alex Reid's mum has spoken out about her son being dumped by Katie Price on national television.

The concerned mother says she is worried about the cage fighter and thinks Katie acted cruelly.
She said: "I watched the TV last night and it seemed very cruel the way she spoke about Alex. He really loved her and gave up a lot for her and this is how he gets treated by her.
"I can't get through to him at the moment and I really want to speak to him.
"All I know is that he is in Australia and his phone is off. He must be upset. I am worried for him."
The glamour model dumped Alex after walking out from I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! two weeks before her contract was up.
She announced the split live on ITV, adding: "I've done a lot of reflecting. I think it's best I'm on my own, I just don't want to be in a relationship. I hope we can remain friends."
Katie is said to have summoned Alex to her hotel room after leaving the jungle to tell him she was fed up with him "making money from her."
Last night Ant and Dec spoke to her live on air for the first time since her departure.
When asked if Alex, 34, was still her boyfriend, she replied: "I'm not with him."
"I know people might think it's harsh, but a lot of things have happened since I came out, I've done a lot of thinking in there, lots of things shouldn't have happened while I was in there and they have.
"I can't live my life by everyone else, I have to think of me and my children."

i think katie now knows how much hurt she has caused peter and everyone else it is time she took some time to reflect and to think hard what she has done ,get away from all the paps and do your thinking on your own and think really hard what itis like for poor pete.

Lou and Tallulah - its not about being mean or cold or cruel - in fact I would use these words to describe Ms Price, who seems to dump her kids whilst she seeks "closure" in front of millions in the jungle, quits because she misses said kids but then stays in Oz for 2 more weeks shopping. I think Alex is well rid...

This so-called cage0fighter is just a weak, squealing ninny. Is he so upset at Jordan walking away that he can't stand on his own two feet ? He doesn't realise how lucky he is.

Alex or anyone else for that matter can do a lot better. The Jungle and in particular the swamp is the best place for Katie Price. I'm surprised they let her out although I guess she was scaring the other swamp creatures.

Reid was a 3rd rate cage fighter,a porno star,liked to wear womens clothes etc.The ideal husband.I am sure he knew he would be rejected a long time ago and he is making the best of the media cover because he will vanish into obscurity very soon.

I am sure Alex does care about Katie but not enough not to cash in on her fame, she is right to walk away and get herself together, she is not over her ex by a long way yet.
