She's got the X Factor: kiss for blushing Simon Cowell as he confirms engagement on TV
Evening Standard Updated 09:50am on 10 Mar 2010It's not something you normally see on TV — a happy, smiling, blushing Simon Cowell.
But the X Factor mogul is in love, and last night he and Mezhgan Hussainy confirmed their engagement — with a kiss — in front of millions of viewers.
Cowell, 50, told Tonight Show host Jay Leno: “I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kind of made a decision this year to make somebody happy.”
He turned red when teased by the host, saying: “I am blushing.” Hussainy, 36, is a make-up artist who worked on Cowell's American Idol.

well I think it is wonderful, he will have everything. Of course he is concerned that she is kissing him, his brand is tough, straight speaking nowhere is he suppose to be gentle and in love. I am sure its the real thing, his mum's involved. Good luck to them.

'I kind of made a decision this year to make somebody happy'. I think this is an odd thing to say about getting married - like it's a good deed and he's doing her a favour but isn't necessarily happy himself. I'm sure he didn't mean it like that it still sounds odd.

Look at his body language - he is turning away from her, not looking at her when she kisses him and looks on edge.
Hmmmm.......could this just be a publicity stunt??
