A ballroom dancer who lost both her legs in a train accident has started dancing for the first time in 20 years after starring on a BBC television series.
Diana Morgan-Hill, 49, was dragged under a commuter train as it pulled away from Wandsworth Common Station.
But after starring in the BBC 3 series Dancing on Wheels — where wheelchair-bound dancers are paired with able-bodied celebrities — she said she now hopes to perform at the 2012 Paralympics.
The former PR consultant from Barnes said dancing on the show was "a complete joy". In the show, six couples compete for a place at the Wheelchair Dance Sport European Championships.
Ms Morgan-Hill was paired with ex- Olympic swimmer Mark Foster. Ms Morgan-Hill said: "It involves a lot of precision movement. Your wheels are your legs."
