Bare it like Beckham: David loses his shirt... and the match

The 31-year-old stripped off his shirt after playing for just 21 minutes of football, showing off his well sculputured torso, but he could not save LA Galaxy from a 1-0 defeat.

He showed no ill effects from the ankle injury that has dogged him since he signed for the club.
While the majority of fans cheered as he walked onto the pitch, a handful held up placards and jeered him while he warmed up.
One sign read: "The world's most expensive ankle," a jibe a the injury that has kept the highly paid player off the field.
