Big Brother goes Roman as housemates throw a riotous toga party

The Big Brother house has gone Roman - after the housemates threw a riotous toga party last night.

After being promised alcohol by Big Brother, Jennifer, Rex, Dennis, Sylvia, Dale and Rebecca worked diligently in the basic bedroom to fashion togas out of bed sheets and laurel wreaths from leaves out of the garden.

The housemates debated among themselves how much alcohol Big Brother would dole out, with Rex doubting they'd be given enough to get drunk.

He claimed he was shocked contestants from previous series were able to get so "hammered".

Meanwhile, Rebecca and Sylvia were scouring the house for the perfect accessories to compliment their togas, before settling on belts and "Grecian-style" sandals.

And Jennifer was determined to have the most flattering toga of them all.

"I want to look like Pocahontas," Jennifer said, braiding her hair into two long plaits.

"Oh my God," Luke exclaimed when Jennifer emerged in her tight toga, "She's wearing a wedding dress!"

In the kitchen, Mario and Lisa prepared a dinner of stew in honour of new housemate Stuart.

"It's Stu's stew," Mikey quipped.

Rex mixed chilli shots for Dale and Darnell, who chugged them back to cheers from the others.

Then the housemates played a round of Chinese Whispers before they began limbo dancing under a rope in the garden, singing the Grease hit Summer Loving.
