Billie Piper: 'My fiance hated my raunchy prostitute role'

Billie Piper's new role as a high-class hooker may win her a legion of male fans – but she revealed her fiancé was less than thrilled with the raunchy sex scenes required for the role.

Actor Laurence Fox objected to her role as prostitute Belle Du Jour which called for Billie to repeatedly strip off.

Billie Piper and actor fiance Laurence Fox: The actress revealed he was less than thrilled with the raunchy sex scenes required for her role as high-class prostitute Belle Du Jour

In one scene she saddles a client and rides him like a horse. She also cracks a whip at a sex party and has a dalliance with a married couple.

Billie admitted being in a relationship with another actor, made things more difficult. Especially when going to work included filming scenes involving 'swinger's parties.

Billie said: "You're never going to be going, 'Woo-hoo, you go and have sex, and have a wonderful time!'

"You're never going to do that, whether you're an actor or a window cleaner."

Engaged: Billie and Laurence will marry later this year

Billie said: "There were times I wanted to run from the room in embarassment.

"The sex scenes are very choregraphed. You talk about where your hand goes and where to put your body - it's a bit like dancing."

The former Dr Who star admitted the commitment involved in acting makes it diffcult to sustain a relationship.

She said: "The hardest thing is that it's not just an eight-hour day.

"It's your life for however long you're shooting. I don't know that you can do it all the time or you'd never see each other and that's sad."

However, it seems Laurence and Billie are clearly committed, as Billie, 25, told Radio Times the couple, are already making plans for babies, and admitted she is "terribly broody".

"I haven't always been because I've two sisters and a brother, they're a lot younger than me and I took care of them a lot.

"But back then I thought, 'I can't imagine having a child'. Now I really can. I can feel it, it's strange."

Billie will marry actor Laurence, 29, this year and says they will have to curb their work schedules.

She said: "The hardest thing about us both being actors is that it's not just an eight-hour day, it's your life for however long you're shooting.

"I don't know that you can both do it all the time or you'd never see each other."

But she has no plans to marry in Las Vegas where she tied the knot with first husband Chris Evans when she was just 18.

ITV2's The Secret Diary of a Call Girl starts on September 27.
