It's clear that the ploy has worked, because 21-year-old Lily seems incapable of wiping the smile from her face, as our pictures show.

It was a different story before Seb showed up, with Lily telling anyone who would listen that she was miserable and missing her friends.

She also wrote depressing blog entries such as: "I cried on the bus this morning".

Thankfully Seb has always come to Lily's emotional rescue.

In February, when she emerged award-less, tired and emotional from the Brit Awards, it was Seb who was planting big smackers on her cheek to lift her spirits.

It's working this time.
