EastEnders was named best soap for the tenth year running with the Mitchells named best soap family at the awards in Soho, Central London.

It also took five other awards with the best actress gong going to Lacey Turner for her role as Stacey Slater.

Charlie Clements, who plays her onscreen boyfriend Bradley Branning, was voted best newcomer - and the pair were also named best couple.

The sexiest female award went to Kara Tointon, who plays Albert Square stunner Dawn Swann. Corrie's Helen Worth won the award for outstanding achievement after playing Gail Platt for the past 32 years.
