Britney's bizarre world: Nudity, a shrine to Kevin and tears at night

Her former employee Kalie Machado has told how the 25-year-old set up a shrine to Kevin Federline after they split and also revealed Britney would regularly walk around her home naked.

She also tried to shave her head mulitple times before finally being forced into rehab in February.

Kalie, a one-time hairdresser who began working for Britney just weeks after she filed for divorce from Kevin in 2006, says her former boss now needs "mental help".

Kalie reveals that Britney struggled to cope with the breakdown of her marriage, and as well as keeping her wedding dress in a case in the entrance of the home, also held on to Kevin's possessions.

She revealed: "Britney kept all Kevin's clothes and she would wander into his wardrobe and look at them. You could say it was a shrine to him - or to their marriage at least."

Kalie claims that during her marriage, Kevin was hardly ever home, leaving Britney alone with her sons and while she eventually filed for divorce, she was still desperate to win back his affection.

Kalie told The Sun: "She felt so unwanted and she's already insecure. It just made her crazy and depressed.

"She was incredibly sad and lonely while I was with her. I could tell she desperately wanted him back. She'd burst into tears when he wouldn't return her calls."

"She'd cry at night a lot. She would sob, 'Why isn't he calling back? Doesn't he love me and the babies?'"

After her divorce, Britney attempted to shave her head on one prior occasssion before finally cutting it all off in February during a dramatic public meltdown.

It came as she was struggling to win attention from Kevin, who was refusing to see her despite her persistent calls.

"There were two times she wanted to shave her head. I was like, 'Britney, it's probably not the best idea'."

"The first time we were driving and she was like, 'Pull over at this salon'. She didn't go through with it in the end.

"I wasn't there the second time, when she went through with it. Her bodyguards could have not taken her there but you just don't say no to Britney.

"I still don't know why she did it. She never told me."

Kalie says Britney, who has a tendency to dress in barely there outfits in public, often walks around her home completely naked.

She said: "Sure she walked around naked. But only in her wing of the house and in her own bedroom.

"I didn't think she was strange at all. She also loves dressing up. We would go through her closet, smoke cigarettes and talk."

Kalie says she never witnessed Britney taking drugs, and also insists she is a caring mother to her sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

She also believes Britney's stint at the Promises Clinic did her more harm than good, saying: "Being forced into rehab made her crazier."

Kalie, who is no longer in contact with Britney, concluded: "Maybe my speaking out may do some good in the long run. But a lot needs to change in her life. She needs mental help."

Meanwhile, Britney's legal woes continue - been ordered to pay her ex-husband Kevin Federline nearly £60,000 in lawyer's fees after a judge ruled that her behaviour had led to increased legal fees on both sides.

Los Angeles Commissioner Scott Gordon, who is presiding over the couple's messy custody battle, made the ruling because the 25-year-old singer makes much more than her dancer and wannabe rapper ex.

In his ruling he pointed out the "disparity between the parties income" and noted that: "The vast majority of the post-judgment litigation deals with Spears conduct."

Court papers released last week show that Britney makes roughly £353,000 per month and spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment.

Kevin "indicates that he does not earn any income," the ruling said.

Kevin, who has temporary custody of 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, receives £7,000 per month in child support and £9,500 in spousal support from Britney.

The spousal support is to end November 15.
