Can't Sienna afford a decent suitcase? Miss Miller shows off her tatty luggage as she heads for LA

Sienna Miller may have dazzled at the Baftas but less than 24 hours later, the actress has failed to make the same impression.

Headed for LA, Sienna turned up at Heathrow airport on Monday looking dishevelled, but it was her broken suitcase that stole the show.

The 26-year-old fashionista tried not to let it cramp her style though - as she attempted to repair the bag by wrapping a ribbon around it.

Perhaps Miller thought the fact that it was a Chanel ribbon might mean the damaged carry-on could pass off as a a vintage accessory.

Wearing Ugg boots and a hat, the blond looked a far cry from the stunning figure she painted on the red carpet for the film awards ceremony.

Dripping in diamonds, Sienna looked stunning in a sheer Dior dress.

On the move: Sienna arriving back in LA yesterday

The party girl disappointed fans though by going home early for a good night's sleep before attending her friend Otis Ferry's court appearance yesterday.

Miller even refused to drink so she would be fresh to give evidence before West London magistrates.

She and boyfriend Rhys Ifans sneaked off at about 11.30pm, snubbing both the official after-party as well as movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's celebration at Bungalow Eight in Covent Garden.

They did manage to have a little fun of their own - Ifans proudly showed off lipstick smears on his collar, boasting: "Don't worry - it's hers."

Miller, who was up for the Orange Rising Star Award but lost to Shia LaBeouf, looked sombre as she arrived at a West London court to give evidence in Ferry's defence.

Ferry, the son of Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry, is appearing on criminal damage charges, where he is accused of removing the keys from the cars of two photographers parked outside a London nightclub.

He told the court today Miller was pursued by paparazzi driving their cars like "dodgems" as she left the Bafta awards last year.

He said the photographers drove "like lunatics" and he feared they would cause a crash and frustrated by the absence of police, he removed the keys from two of their cars and threw them to the ground to stop the pursuit.

Giving evidence, Sienna told the court she felt "hunted" by "frenzied" paparazzi pursuing her after last year's Baftas.

Ferry was later acquitted on criminal damages charges.
