Chantelle: 'I cried all night when I heard Preston and Camille got back together'

A devastated Chantelle Houghton revealed her heartbreak over news that ex-husband Preston has rekindled his relationship with the ex-fiancee he left to marry the Celebrity Big Brother star.

In a new interview Chantelle admitted that since hearing Preston was back with marketing assistant Camille Aznar, she has been so upset that she "hasn't slept".

Chantelle told Heat magazine: "I feel really upset. Gutted, in fact. I cried and I haven't slept all night."

Devastated: Big Brother's Chantelle says she is heartbroken at the news that her ex, Preston, is back together with his former fiancee

She added: "It makes me worry that to him, our marriage was a sham. Sometimes I wonder if I was just a pawn in some sort of game plan.

"Even when he was saying his vows at our wedding, he was being silly and going cross-eyed.

"And now he is back with his ex...I expect his family is happy now."

Chantelle's distress comes after Camille, 26, was seen at Preston's Brighton home last week.

Heat magazine printed pictures in their issue last week showing Preston, 25, at the door when she returned.

And since their split after just ten months of marriage following their whirlwind romance on Celebrity Big Brother, there have been a number of sightings of the singer with ex-fiancée Camille.

Chantelle said that Preston had not told her that he was back with Camille, and admitting to suspicions that he might still have been in contact with the French marketing assistant throughout their marriage.

She said: "He told me, 'Look I'm with you now and that part of my life is over,',...but there were times when I thought, 'I wonder if...'.

"There is a pattern: Preston dumps Camille and she's hurt, and now he dumps me for her and it's me who's upset. It's never him upset."

A hurt Chantelle reveals that their marriage didn't exactly get off to a great start as she didn't feel accepted by his family. A fact which was somewhat reinforced when his brother turned up at their wedding accompanied by Camille.

She said: "I told him I wasn't happy about it, but it didn't make a difference.

"I felt like they didn't accept me. I tried so hard, I really did, I didn't like to speak in case I said something stupid.

"I tried to be all clever....I think they like Camille because she's got a degree."

Since the end of their marriage Chantelle has undergone a Jordan-style makeover, opting for breast implants, and adopting a racy new look which she attributed to getting over the failure of her marriage, and the loss of self-confidence which she blamed on Preston.

She said: "I lost all my confidence from being from Preston. He would say I was 'so Essex', whereas before he would laugh.

"Eventually I changed for him. I could never wear bright colours, and if I did, he would say. 'Can't you wear something more stylish?' He'd say, 'You've got too much fake tan on,' and in the end I'd give up.

"It was such an ordeal. I tried to be the person he wanted, but in the end I've broken out and gone yeah, I've gone over the top, I'm aware of that.

"I wasn't allowed to watch soaps or TV after 8.30pm - that was talking time.

"I wasn't allowed make-up. Now can you see why I'm piling it on all the time."
