Chelsy proves her party animal status

Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy confirmed her status as the quintessential party girl at a farewell celebration in Cape Town.

The send-off, organised by friends of 21-year-old Chelsy, who is coming to the UK to start a law degree, took place in the VIP room of her favourite club, the Wadda Bar.

Despite having recently had an emergency appendix operation, Chelsy was knocking back her favourite vodka and lime.

'Chelsy was really enjoying herself,'a source said. 'She was very drunk.

She stayed until four in the morning and then went to the airport in her white-and-purple party dress and gold stilettos for her flight to Zimbabwe.'

Chelsy is to fly to England this month to begin a two-year postgraduate course at Leeds University.

'It's the start of a new life for Chelsy and her girlfriends are organising a huge bash to make sure she goes off to university with a very big hangover,' says a friend.
