They both appeared relaxed while kicking back on banana lounges, sipping drinks and posing for photographs with friends, and Coleen later jumped in the pool for a quick dip.

A day earlier, the WAG kept her feet dry, pulling on a teeny stripped bikini to work on her tan between chatting with pals.

Rooney, who was suspended from England's game, took a more active approach. He swapped striking for dropping bombs in the Med.

Coleen, who looked tanned and taut in the skimpy number, is famous for her ongoing battle to maintain her figure, and has long been a fan of the Weight Watchers diet.

She has said: "I'm just a normal-shaped girl. I've got a bum and I've got hips but I've got a small waist so I emphasise that.

McLoughlin has signed a two-year deal to host several programmes for ITV1 and ITV2, including a project called Coleen's Real Women.

The show will be a search for amateur models to take part in high-profile fashion shows and photo shoots.

McLoughlin said she hopes the series will "give ordinary people the same opportunities I've had, and persuade the most image-conscious in the world that bigger doesn't necessarily mean bad".
