Norris, (Malcolm Knox) is in shock when Rita (Barbara Knox) and Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) find him on the floor. But he pretends to be OK.

A source told The Sun: "The writers want to reflect the growing problem of gang crime in our cities.

"They're handling it in a sensitive manner and showing how the most vulnerable often fall victim to gang crimes."

The gang of youths have been targeting businesses in the area and tension is growing.

The scenes will be aired on Monday, May 26.
