Dances with weaves: Kevin Costner makes the most of his thinning hairline

He may not have the mane he once had as a young actor playing Robin Hood but this has not stopped Kevin Costner from making some effort to style his thinning locks.

The Hollywood actor, who has been critically acclaimed as much as he has been panned in recent years, stepped out looking a lot fuller up top over the weekend.

What a mane: Costner back in his glory days as Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves

Although he was still sporting a scruffy unkept beard, his new look which swept his hair back off his forehead, was spotted by onlookers as he left the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills.

Despite recently turning 53, the star became a father for the fifth time last year when his model wife Christine Baumgartner gave birth to their first child Cayden Wyatt.

Dressed in a smart black coat and T-shirt, he was accompanied by the pair and had a beaker handy just in case his little son decided he needed it.

Last year, the Dances With Wolves star admitted he had squandered more than £20million of his fortune on investments to save the planet.

Costner plunged the cash into "green technology" to clean up major oil spills and to develop a non-chemical battery. But both projects failed and he lost the entire investment.
